    Dream od the dreams this saga of L@Twith very few examples globally! A.M Naik appears to an embodiment of phenomenal success in all possible ways, including astral spiritual blessings in a singular way.I have been holding on to just700 L@T shares for years and am proud of possessing only L@T shares in my portfolio! May God expand L@T more globally to virtually insulate the economy of all countries !!

    Hello!! Hello !! Hello !! Listen to me - Listen to me - it all might reeking of narcissistic arrogance - but it’s not the case, it love of nation and the company funded my state owned entities and the Nation India - mythology records maximum 10 heads but at L &T the record remains shattered - here we have one head equivalent to 21 human heads - AMN chants, I am not working for money but my compensation is 5cr I am not the founder but almost a founder just because I have completed 50 years in same company, without going for change of job or becoming a true founder of some other company I could have left the organization and could be even bigger wealth/job creator the NR Narayan Murthy/Premji/Dheerubhai and likes, but I am sentimental about L & T Microsoft can be led by Satya, Nokia by Rajeev, citi by Vikram, Pepsi by Indira, McKinsey & Company by Rajat but L&T the way it is now cannot be led by anyone but AMN, and it’s high time it should be renamed as AMN Ltd, good lord AMN was lucky to have not heard or faced this when he got the freedom and opportunity to rise at the top - what must be sense of self worth and sense of belonging of all the leadership aspirants of the top job? Navratna PSU can be helmed by normal human beings, but L&T only by AMN where up to 30 percent stock holding is with LIC/UTI UPTO 10 % with L&T Employee association, so this is neither PSU nor Privately Held, nor a State Owned entity, it’s kind of national sector, where in MD & Chairman can have remunerations up to 5cr per annum and stocks up to 1 %, which is not possible if you are heading DRDO/ISRO/HP/BP etc This sentimental and self proclaimed founder rehotric could percolate down at ranks and files at the organization, and people can end up doing some second rate imitation of all they are hearing - workaholic working for 60 years - 7 days a week, dying every day for good number of times etc, even president of US takes timely offs and the world goes on, but L&but L&T will grind to halt if AMN sneezes, which can spoil the work culture and whole genration of leaders AMN has been too busy safeguarding India's manufacturing sector against Chinese onslaught and in doing so has ignored the IT business, which has been a forte for India as a nation, as the saying goes - if you need smart infra go to China if you need smart people go to India' - L&T's IT subsidiary is at best a neglected child of AMN - who has created 60 % of L&T'S current business, primarily in, Premji have grown from soap to software, AMN could have done wonders if he had shifted his attention to IT and have decided to flow with the current and it could have been very well just behind TCS - But sadly as on today TCS is adding on L&T InfoTech every year in terms of headcount, not too sure how my centuries it will take to touch headcount of its contemporaries’ in IT Space Cognizant if at all it does not goes to block, so it’s a huge bus that has been missed due to sentimental attachment with not just L&T but with manufacturing sector , looks like some similar aversion for sector that has created maximum jobs and wealth in last decade, akin to the one Mr. Buffet is having for IT stocks in particular and Industry in general, grand old sage of Omaha who missed IT boom - looks like they can’t trust something which is invisible - like software - they need something that can be touched and seen in all its old world charm and grandeur People like Jyoti Basu and AMN and likes who stick for long term at their position, do it with best intentions but eventualy it backfires and nothing much is gained except loss of talent and opportunity, brain and revenue drain - low profits for state owned investors and ultimately loss to nation on all counts be it a corporate or state, but eventually ones lies with board members and the investors who are not as innocent, docile and prone to manipulations as - say people of a communist state - the leader is nothing but reflection of society, and can’t be singularly blamed. A CEO and company are two sides of the same coin, with current dispensation finding Mr Naik’ successor is very daunting even for Mr Naik, so whaqts the solution. Its no just succession its about disassotiation of Mr Naik with L&T, that should be calibrated and and in a faced manner not just cold turkey. He should take three more extensions of 5 years each till current leadership matures to take the mantle. By the time Mr Naik turns 75, he can opt for another 5 years but with a difference, please don’t work 18 hrs a day 8 hrs of Mr Naik’s availability can do wonders and please take sat/sun weekend mandatory offs this is a must to keep his health in good shape. So he will be working for 40 hours in a week which will be less strenuous for him, down from 18*7 = 126 hours every week. Once he turns 80, he can ramp down a bit more. Five hours every day 4 days in a week, 3 days mandatory off dedicated to healing and health care and relaxation. When Mr. Naik turns 80, one last extension for L&T’s sake, 3 hours every day 3 days in a week. One last lap please for all time sake from age of 85 till 90, Once in a week for 4 hours, and the he can leave L&T in safe hands, its very well possible if LKA can aspire to be PM at 85 than why Mr Naik can’t work till 90? Now he wants to carry on with his current compensation or want to opt for INR 1 per month like Mr Murthy of Infy is his call.
