That Brene Brown quote is my total philosophy on scrap booking in a nut shelL!!!!! thank you for all your wonderful inspiration. Celebrate Everyday! love love love your stuff. Many thanks, from Australia!!
thank you for sharing Amy.... I love your mini books and how real you are about the project .... sometimes it doesn't get finished and that's okay. I am glad you addressed that in your 4x6 album saying you won't be going back and just leaving it how it is .... I think a lot of people throw in the towel because they get overwhelmed and frustrated. You still have the memories in the album even if they didn't make it in the page protectors like you had intended.
This has to be one of my favorite December daily flip through videos-mainly for your narrative and how much joy you get from the memories. I love your unstructured approach and agree that all the bits and bobs that make up our daily sometimes ordinary days are gratifying to remember and enjoy. Thanks for such great soul inspiration. (Also quite gratifying to know that I am not the only one who starts out strong and can wimper out and not finish something and I thought your attitude about it was very freeing! I think it was your 2016 book). But truly a really nice video to watch and enjoy your commentary!
Thanks for sharing Amy. Lovely memories. I hadn't ever done a December daily, but happened upon the Journal Your Christmas recently and decided I'd try it this year. Of course I'll be using some fun Amy Tangerine goodies in it. Many Merry Days ahead to all!!!
Inspirational once again! My baby girl is two tomorrow & this has just reminded me to take lots of pictures & also look for other items to scrap. Love the stamp idea too! Will keep my eyes peeled now for any interesting ones that arrive. Thank you Amy! X
I enjoyed looking at your Dec Daily albums. I got a lot of good ideas. I am starting my first Dec Daily so any help I can get is great. Thanks for sharing.
You have been doing such cool stuff in the Travelers Notebooks, and the mini albums were adorable...I think you should go small again and see what happens. Looking forward to whatever you make and share!
Love the look back at your DD. I am just starting to do mine this year, my very first DD and with your video I got inspired to keeo it up since I wasn't sure how it will turn out. TFS
This was very helpful for mr. Thank you!!! Being a December Daily Newbie, and not quite sure I even wanted to do it, I get it now. Thanks for explaining and sharing this with all of us. Now to figure out supplies and go purchase them. Happy Holidays!!!
Love the stamp collection from the Christmas Cards you received. A tip- since these are long term storage, try to use mono-glue whenever possible rather than the adhesive. The glue holds longer and doesn't take very much. Creative Blessings!
i'm so glad i'm not the only one with semi-undone december daily scrapbooks :-p i have good reasons though lol! have a merry christmas :-) thanks for sharing!
Amy I really loved this video! I am so inspired and so grateful you take the time to show us. I find myself watching and feeling like I missed so many opportunities to document my first born's life. So many memories in the ether or maybe in the digital lands. My second baby is turning 3 on Monday and it feels as though things are moving even faster! Maybe you can do a tutorial once for how to not get down and sad about "missing out" but rather here's a way I could still print out a few images and make it happen. I guess I'm answering my own question. I just to make it happen :) Love your work! Any teaching in the Bay Area, I'm there! Thanks!
+Natalia Gabrea Aww, love this idea. I try and touch upon going easy on yourself while crafting in general. The idea of being "caught up" or telling every story and scrapbooking every single thing is just not sustainable or attainable. I think it's better to just focus on enjoying what you can do!! XO
Hi Amy. I just subscribed to your channel and LOVING IT! Do you have a video that shows us how to start a mini daily journal? I want to start one on Jan. 1., and continue it for the year. Wishing you and your family a very Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year. :)
+MichelleLuvs2Scrap Hi - Thanks for subbing! I am horrible at daily projects... I am guilty of starting many and finishing few to none. I think it's more important to cultivate habits daily that don't make you feel guilty. Plus I am always up for trying new things. It's what's helped me stay inspired and motivated to create more. I don't have a video that shows that, but I will definitely keep it in mind. I try and let you know tips and tricks with all my videos, so I am so happy you've chosen to subscribe!
Thank you for sharing all of your albums! Each one unique and full of memories. How do you get your washi tape to stay on the cover of your album? Often I have tried but it just starts peeling off only to frustrate me.
Amy, If you do not know why you have a Jiffy mix box its probably because they are SO good!!! I live in Chelsea, Michigan where the Jiffy mix factory is and they make amazingly good muffin mixes and SO much more. YOU Definately need to come and visit our small little town if only to come and see that factory. People actually come from all over to see the factory especially school kids. Chelsea also used to be the home of The Teddy Bear factory which makes bears and sends them all over the world, especially for our troops. For some reason that I haven't been able to discover they have moved on. Which made me sad but that is there loss....lol. So , now you know why you have that box from Jiffy muffin mix!!!!!
2010 book, day 23, the transparent page with fluorescent green... Oh Em Gee! Where is that from?! Love this idea, by the way! I think I'm going to start with a 4x6 version!!! THANK YOU!
+Amy Tangerine Will do. Thank you! By the way, I started my December Daily mini book today & am so excited! I posted a photo on my instagram (@evegiggles), which you liked (Thx!) Also filmed a short video that I hope to upload to my NEW channel later! So fun! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity & the inspiration!
+leanne47402 I always try and do it the same or next day. Sometimes I will fall a couple days behind and then have to bulk print. I prefer to print at home. I think I was using my Canon Selphy mostly at this time and it worked great. I also love incorporating Instax photos, and the printer is linked in the description box. And same with journaling, I try to do it within a day or two. Thanks!
It's so cool to see the evolution of the albums over the years. Thanks for sharing!
I love you Amy you're such a sweet hearted person- the world needs more people like you ☺️

This was so much fun watching. Where would I look for these mini-books? The plastic pages with pockets? I have never seen things like this.
+Tammy halterman Check out Simple Stories Snap Albums - they are awesome and come with all kinds of sizes for pocket pages.
Ps!! I have the Instax printer being delivered from Father Christmas this year! Another Amy Tan inspired purchase! 😉
Loved this, lots of inspiration.
I. Love. This. !! Thanks for sharing! Lots of ideas for me this year. Is it so wrong that I want to finish that unfinished album of yours so badly?!
+Cherie Naera Where shall I send it? ;)
+Amy Tangerine new zealand😀😀😀😀

+Victoria Marie Aww, thank you! Means a lot coming from you!

How do you get your washi tape to stay on the cover of your album?
Often I have tried but it just starts peeling off only to frustrate me.
+Schona Kessler Not sure - I think they have just stayed down? Maybe add a bit of wet, clear adhesive?
lol okay. maybe it was just the specific brand I was using...some are beyond sticky and some don't stick at all. lol
hello im from Guatemala love your Mini albums 😍😍
Hermosos! I love all ♡

+Eve Giggles Hambly Screenprints. Sadly they closed, but you may be able to google "Hambly Screenprints transparency" and possibly find some.
+Amy Tangerine Will do. Thank you! By the way, I started my December Daily mini book today & am so excited! I posted a photo on my instagram (@evegiggles), which you liked (Thx!) Also filmed a short video that I hope to upload to my NEW channel later! So fun! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity & the inspiration!
wow, I am totally in love with this video! I get some inspirations
INSPIRING! 💕💖💕
Do you develop the photos after, or use an instant printer, and journal on the spot?
+leanne47402 I always try and do it the same or next day. Sometimes I will fall a couple days behind and then have to bulk print. I prefer to print at home.
