I don't really like the fact that some of these are just overreactions, I'm pretty sure that asking your parents' before going to another friend's house doesn't mean strict? It's a sign of respect. My parents have rules for me, obviously, they're my parents and it's their job to guide me and protect me. I'm a kid myself and I get surrounded with other kids my age, and from my observation kids today complain about the slighest things, as if they don't want they're parents to help them grow into a good person.
But obviously, some rules are still too controlling. Like for example, having to explain every gift you receive???? Huh😰

I put 13 down. My parents really spoiled me in some ways but the stuff they were strict about was stuff that directly made them worry. That's cause I was THE youngest in all my siblings and cousins and because I got really ill at a young age which is also why they spoiled me in ways of always buying me stuff, getting gifts, taking me out etc😊
