  • Hit that subscribe button! It helps us a ton! In the Yes Marker video we go over the basics of how to "Charge" or put valve behind a word. Once taught, we use this word to mark and reinforce desirable behaviors in the future. We hope this helps!
Get your dog’s attention. Anytime the dog looks at you, mark with “yes”. Have your dog chase after the reward; Chasing builds motivation! It usually takes 100-150 pairings for dogs to understand the “yes” marker. Note: The "Yes" sound has to precede the reward. Don't mark and reward at the same time.
Be sure to recognize outside factors and align them with the training in question for best results. If there are to many distractions while trying to teach, try finding a comfortable place to train with less distractions. "Rituals" and where they happen in home or wherever matter. Be aware where you build your training history. Mark immediately. Reward after (Marking buys you time to deliver the reward). Move rewards out of sight long term.
From here, we would recommend you start the engagement game. Here is a link to the engagement game. Try it, it's FUN!
