Brilliant answers! 🙌 Your coverage of Gujarat inspired me so much, and completely understand why Rann of Kutch is one of your top choices. You look so much a part of the landscape in ethnic clothes on the salt flats that I remarked to myself "Gypsy Queen" (in a completely positive way as a world traveller). There is well established genetic connections between the Gujrat-Punjab area to Southern Baltic states (your genetic ancestral area), this not so odd because the land in that part of India turned arid & people emigrated out of there in antiquity and came to be the origin of all true gypsies in the world, even their music & instruments such as the origin of guitar was introduced to the various cultures of the world.
You are absolutely right, "city planning & waste management" went by the wayside over thousands of years of foreign invasions, for a civilization, "HARRAPAN" that invented these 5000+ years ago. Even London & Paris at their height of civilization lacked indoor plumbing till the 18th century! What did you think of Dholavira - the Unesco world heritage Harrapan city at the Rann of Kutch?
You were so articulate and honest and accurate about all your other answers, including women safety, the people's kindness & generosity & rape! 👍👍
I wondered about Bambi too, good for you and Bambi! I like to travel & have to jump through more hoops living in the US to make sure Newt is never alone! Have a great time & hope to attend one of your talks in Bengaluru!

Ivana has become so Indian that her three favorite Chinese dishes are the following:
    1) Chilli Paneer
    2) Paneer Manchurian
    3) Schezwan Paneer
There is a Dutch Bosnian film maker called Ena Sendiljarevic, she made a short film called Import about the life of Bosnian immigrants in Netherlands.

Government employees should be loyal. However first we as a citizen need to change. There is only 4% people pays income tax

actually less then 4% because only 1.5 crore ppl pay IT out of 140 crore ppl😅😅

However, bribes are paid to get work done at most Govt offices( in excess of an individuals IT liability). As some sort of jungle justice, IT figures are fudged 😂😂.

When you called India as similar to you Mother, you had me by your side !
Thanks Ivana for all the things you do. You are true Indian by heart and soul and wherever you stay in future, India or abroad.
I would second you 200% that waste management, cleanliness, government education and transport improvements would be be best things to improve here!
I try to do my part like I opened a library in my village with books of grades 11 and 12 so that young generation future can benefit from it.

that one line was the highlight of the episode, "Are you asking me to say crap about my mother".This shows that how much you embrace Mother India from the bottom of your heart. Many of us should learn from you how to pay respect and true emotions to our motherland despite of poking into issues which every country whether developed or under developed suffers.Instead give solutions to mitigate that problem rather than asking people such questions.Asking such question we are by ourselves legitimising that there is suffering in this country.Appreciate all the befitting replies you have given in this video...

Very interesting video...I agree with you completely that waste management is a major (infact a huge problem) in India..While you have been very polite on the matter, as an Indian myself, I would say that public cleanliness is a huge problem on account of lack of civic sense among many people..Ofcourse there are a host of other issues but I guess all countries have their own problems..the western world while being materially advanced also has a host of issues of its own in the social sphere..you are also right that relationships and social networking play a very important role in doing business in India..relationships matter more than other things in Indian society and one has to be very social..That is also one of the reasons why family values are strong in India unlike the west which is a fragmented and extremely individualistic and selfish society..I feel that may be due to decadent materialism but that's just my personal opinion.. As for safety of women it's good to hear that you are fearless and know how to manage the situation..Also you have correctly mentioned that this problem is worldwide and not only in India..However as a well wisher I would like to mention that while we may think that we can manage the situation many a times it's better to exercise caution and avoid such situations..One never knows what happens despite our idea that we are well prepared to stand up to it..your point about food tour was interesting however I would like to know your view on punjabi food as I personally love it (though I am a South indian myself)..Great work and keep vlogging..also please get well soon..👍👍

I do not think there exists a generic karnataka thali . Try north karnaraka meals in Bangalore , Hubli or anywhere in north karnataka while visiting the UNESCO heritage sites Badami, Pattadakal and Aihole. You can also visit Bijapur, Gulbarga and bidar and belgaum . Take a train trip from belgaum to goa to view the dudhsagar waterfalls

In my opinion, India needs a lot of reforms in
    1) Judicial Procedure...............That's too slow
    2) Cleanliness................ India needs cleanliness ASAP
    3) Corruption................. Unfortunately, more than 70% govt workers are corrupt and don't do their duties on time.

Interesting perspective on your experience living in India. Some women have said they felt uncomfortable or unsafe at times traveling there; however, you said you have not because you know how to draw your boundaries. Perhaps you could expand on this information to benefit others by providing examples.
