Interesting interview. I've been researching the Beatles show at the Hollywood Bowl. Guess its true, if you wait long enough you get the answers you're looking for. I even tried to contact Bob Eubanks...to no avail. There was merchandising...my cousins went to the show in NYC in 64 and sent a box of stuff...
18.37-Unlikely to be true. The George quote is 'Nobody said anything, but we all knew' at Candlestick Park. Paul the diplomat would not have spoken so openly to an outsider about retiring from the stage after the final 66 tour. They didn't need another self sabotaging PR gaffe, Paul just wouldn't have said it.
So Bob was with The Beatles when they visited Elvis. I hardly doubt they took a promoter along. First he said it was John that wanted to meet Jane Mansfield, then he changed it to Paul. Thinking half these stories never happened
Bob is in his 80's , of course he will err in mentioning names . But you got me thinking now.... I do recall back in the early 1980's Bob telling a story that for The Beatles first concert he borrowed money from a convent of nuns to bring The Beatles to L.A.
Great memories 👌
WOW, his voice is the same as it was in the 1970's. "Cpl. No.3," What is whoppee ???"
Jayne Mansfield does not appear on the Sgt. Pepper cover. They may be thinking of Diana Dors.
I think she appears on The Wonders album
Wow what whop of information i never knew BOB DID THOSE CONCERTS I LOVE TO ASK HIM ABOUT CANIBAL AND HEAD HUNTERS WHO WERE ON THAT TRIP
