Have a lovely day 😊
Wow - my husband hopes I won't find a fabric shop, LOL! I love eggs, too - my mother used to tear up pieces of soft white bread and sort of scramble them with an egg in the pan and put salt and pepper on top - not sure it had a name but it was real comfort food. The fabrics you got are going to be a lot of fun to work with - a holiday after the holiday!
How lovely that you got to incorporate fabric in your holiday! I always try and do the same, great choices ❤❤
Thank you x
Love the egg fabric .. especially for jimjams.
Those eggs… honestly, they would make you happy!! You got some amazing bits!!!!! What a treat! The blue flower crepe is absolutely stunning!!!
Gorgeous fabrics Sam, I love the florals, the colours are beautiful ❤❤
Love the egg Fabric
Beautiful fabrics love them all x
Gorgeous fabrics ❤
That was an awesome haul!!! So many pretty fabrics!!! and that egg/space fabric is so Cool! Enjoy!
That's an egg-citing prize, and it's lovely having the opportunity to be eggs-travagant 😅😅😅😅 well done Sam 😊 (sorry couldn't help that 😅😅)
Eggscellent puns my friend xx
The lovely Vicki Reid came to our WI meeting last night. We're in the North of Warwickshire. It was a wonderful evening finding out about all things Sewing Bee 😊 She brought along her fabrics, buttons and labels. Of course I had to buy some fabric, it was just so soft and gorgeous and the same labels as yours, along with the buttons 😀 looking forward to seeing what you make, it may inspire me, as you always do. X
I heard Adam was in a magazine. How cool. You picked up some great things on holiday!❤
Great vlog as always, lovely seeing you on Thursday at the virtual sewcial
Looking forward to seeing a sagebrush in that fabric 😊
Love all your fabrics Sam! This cheered me up during my lunch break 🥰 look forward to seeing what you make and the egg-citing pyjamas 😂😂 xx
'Eggs in Space!" love it!! amazing haul, I feel like I need a lie down after all that! 🤣
So did I , it was a bumper one.❤️
Lovely vlog Sam love everything that you’ve bought love your eggstraspecial fabric 🍳🥰
Love the space eggs! My mom also made a version of eggs and soldiers for me when I wasn't feeling well, that she called eggs in a bowl. Soft-boiled eggs mashed up and served with bits of buttered toast. I'm not sure where that originated in our family, but I make it sometimes when I need a bit of a boost. We love eggs in my house, too, and have them often. They're a pretty perfect food.
Such lovely fabrics. I think my favorite of the rest is the first floral for the 60s shift dress. It will be fun to see all of them made up eventually. Glad you had a lovely holiday.
Quite a lovely haul and just what you need on returning home to ease the post holiday blues 👏🏻👏🏻. You really suit blue fabric - makes your eyes really pop (in a good way 😳). I adore the fat quarters you got in your box - can you let me know who the maker is as I have serious fabric envy. Looking forward to seeing your makes. I think there is definitely a tv cartoon idea there called Eggs in Space (is there one already?). Your lovely husband is an enabler - lucky you! 🥰
I love that egg fabric Sam ❤
Lovely video Sam.
You have a lot of fabolous things
I love washi tape from Specky seamstress too :D
Have a lovely day
Cannot wait to see your makes
So lovely to see all your fabulous fabrics. Fabric land is fantastic, we used to have one in Basingstoke but sadly it closed. My nearest is Southampton so I must try and visit it soon.
I’ve been to the Aladdin’s cave in Ringwood too!! Love that Simon finds shops for you when you’re away ❤
Can’t wait to see you on Saturday, know what I’ll be making for breakfast on Sunday 😜 🍳
❤
How lovely that your husband looks up fabric shops for you! 😍
He’s a good egg x
When I'm on holiday and feeling sewing deprived I order fabric 😂 😊
Gorgeous fabrics Sam
What a fantastic haul.
I've just made a sagebrush top in that exact blue, spotty, floral fabric. It drapes beautifully and although I'm not a fan of the massively puffy sleeves I think they work well in this fabric. I wish I'd thought about lengthening the sleeves though. I had so much of the fabric that I've also cut out a Sew Over It Libby Shirt.
I can't wait to see that space egg fabric made up into a garment 😀
The space eggs are fantastic Sam! I love their little faces too, so cute! I'd love to go to fabric land one day, I've only ever bought from them online. It must be like an Aladdin's cave inside! X
Thanks Tania, can’t wait to get it sewn up! I was really impressed with Fabric Land 🤩
Love the space egg fabric Sam, it’s so fun! I got The Art fabric from Vicki but I’m not sure what to make with it yet. Your fabric haul was great, some really lovely fabric choices 😍
What a lovely haul, the fried egg fabric is amazing! Perfect for Jim jams, will definitely make you smile. ❤
Hi Sam, you had a lovely collection of fabrics. Quite a big haul, but fabric is the best souvenir. I am wearing right now fabric from Florence - beautiful memories. Anyway, have you had a look at the Tustin dress by Itch to Stitch? This is my favourite jersey dress, so easy to make, so easy to wear, and the print of your poppy jersey would be perfect. And I think we have a similar shape, so I really think it would suit you. Thanks for entertaining us again. Your motto really fits your personality.
Thank you.
I love itch to stitch patterns, I’ll definitely check that one out x
Sam, how about the Smock Top in the egg fabric? Fun for summer. 😂 Delightful video!!
That's a lot of post😂😂😂Love that... Love a parcel in the post!!
Wow fabulous fabrics. Love the last one, can’t wait to see what you make.
Fabulous haul Sam ❤
The space egg fabric is great fun 😊
When my mom was in the final stages of her illness she lost her taste for many foods, except eggs. I’d tell her that I wouldn’t be offended if she was tired of the soft boiled eggs or quiche that I always made for her. Her response was always an enthusiastic no. She asked me to keep the eggs coming and I did. Just sayin’, I have an appreciation for eggs, too.😊
That will be me. I love quiche I think it's my death row meal. Quiche and chips😂. And my go to breakfast is a boiled egg and toast❤.
Can I just say New Look 6095 is a great shift dress pattern. Made it as a dress and a top I really like it.
I think I have that one! Great shout Thank you 🤩
Sam I have an obsession with eggs too, I have egg fabric as well, lol
Lovely fabrics. The last one really made the blue in your eyes stand out!
Wow so much happy post! And what a fab holiday haul! Highly recommend the long sleeved sagebrush, I love mine 🤩🥰
Glad you found Fabricland when you were in Bournemouth, you got a nice selection. And a long sleeved sagebrush sounds like a plan, what are you thinking for the sleeve cuff - the same as the short or something else. I can't decide what I'd go for
Hi Sam, have you seen the astronaut panel on Rainbow fabrics 😍
What about a Billy dress with that jersey? How lovely that your husband looks for fabric shops nearby ❤
I’m not a massive fan of the Billy, it’s not a great fit for me, I may try it again one day x ❤️🌟
Sam, if that egg-space fabric was available in the US. Your vlog would have made me buy it!
What does everyone do with washi tape sewing related? Love your videos. 😊
What fabulous fabrics! A question….what do you use your washi tape for?
Thank you
I use it for all sorts.
It’s great for marking the wrong side of fabric if I’m not sure.
I use it when altering patterns so I can move the pieces about.
It’s great for securing packages.
I use it to mark an unusual seam allowance on my machine or overlocker.
I sometimes pop it over buttons to check position and keep in place before sewing.
Lots of uses
@@SewLetsSparkleWithSam Thanks!
What type of fabric is the faces? Is it cotton lawn?
schoolofsewingcarolynrose.co.uk/products/blue-faces-viscose-lawn?_pos=1&_sid=8066e2e92&_ss=r
Its a viscose lawn, it’s buttery soft and delicious 🤩
xXX👍👍👍
Beautiful fabrics - I want them all!
