I found this serie and watched it. Now I wonder if this 1st season is really just one or how many books? Of course one should read the story from the beginning. But it would be nice to know how much one needs to read before reaching part what one don’t know.......
There are three books in the 'shadow and bone' series on which this show is based upon and the show also has some characters from the 'Six of crows' duology. Hope this helped😃
Mal and Alina both raised like brother and sister. They are family to each other that's why their relationship feels so pure. May be that's what makes it so difficult for me to ship them. And Mal literally doesn't help Alina to become stronger in books. Only in the episode where she wiped off the connecting scar did she managed to use her ability as sun summoner in full force
Since the beginning is pretty obvious that they have feelings for each other. Their relationship is pure bc he loves her above all and not by her power as The Darkling does
In my opinion, they're still like siblings. I think the plot wouldn't even change if they were discovered to be secretly related or something. They'd still react to each other in the same way. So, to me, it's not sexual or mature in any way. It's like when preteen childhood best-friends start holding hands just because they're of the opposite sex.
