The worse thing a mother can do is talk to babies at night in between feedings. Don't treat the night like the day. If he wakes up to eat, feed him and put him back to bed and you go back to sleep.

My breastfeeding babies slept with me too. It eases the stress and anxiety of breastfeeding until I became accustomed to it. Breastfeeding is very overwhelming at times but so beneficial to both baby and Mom.

Hi Gladys I am a Ugandan in London and I have been following your channel. I work with newborns. My advice would be to do skin to skin whenever you are holding him for at least 4 weeks. What this means is you have to leave your chest bare and put him on it. Also, try and swaddle him. He has come into this wide space, and in order to transition in this space, a swaddle is necessary.

    COLIC BABIES ::::
Try these movements and stimuli to sooth your baby:
    Provide extra skin-to-skin contact.
Swaddle your baby. This mean wrapping them in a blanket.
    Sing to your baby.
Give your baby a warm (not hot) bath or put a warm towel on their stomach.
Massage your baby. Ask your doctor for guidelines.
Provide white noise, such as a fan, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, hair dryer, or dishwasher.
    Give your baby a pacifier.
Go for a walk with your baby in their stroller. Or go for a drive with your baby in their car seat.
Give your baby simethicone drops. This over-the-counter medicine can help relieve gas.

Fennel water/ tea: you can make it yourself and give some to Jayden. That is what we use in Curaçao and also here in The Netherlands. And also do not eat gassy things, such as onions and beans; as you are breastfeeding. And also here we have special adhesive nipples to cover your own nipples; then you don’t feel pain during breastfeeding. You all are doing a great job. Much love and blessings as always from auntie here in The Netherlands.❤🙏🏾🥰

If you hold him every time he sleeps, he will find it difficult to sleep alone. They are all like that. So were mine. They are used to being in our stomachs, so being close to the chest reminds them of that, but it will be hard for you to get rest. As much as you are tempted to, lay him down so you can get rest.

A baby's digestive systems take around 3 months to complete or get used to digestion, after that period their tummy pain subsides. This too will pass & then a new challenge begins because the changes and growth in life for both of you are forever endless. A scary, exciting, rewarding, with blissful times to come. Welcome to motherhood, and enjoy the ride. For me it is so worth it, I did it 3 times, my most rewarding, best life decision they are.

Aww bless him. My great niece had horrendous colic and she would cry for 3-5 hours every night. I live next door to my sister so we would all take it in turns to rock her until it settled. We also learnt she was allergic to lots of baby milk. It does get better and it will become just a distant memory. Your little boy is so gorgeous and so alert. My sister bought her granddaughter a baby nest. It was a lot safer for when she was in the bed and she used it for quite a few months. They also used the “shush” videos on TH-cam which helped the baby to settle. They also used colic drops from the pharmacy.. you are doing so well and things will gradually settle. I used to also sing to my niece, the same songs over and over again as we stood in front of the mirror when I was trying to settle her and eventually she would ‘sing along’ even at a few months lol ( everyone was sick of the songs after a while but it worked ) lol. ❤💐💐💐

I would definitely add to those saying to make the room dark at night. Find a dim nightlight if you need to be able to see to change him, but don't talk to him and minimize interaction at night. It will help both of you sleep better. Gripe water (recipes online) is great for colicky babies. He is beautiful, though, and you're doing a great job. It's so hard figuring them out when they can't tell you what they need. Does your husband work out of town?

My Nigerian family, says sorry about things. It’s just their way of comforting. I’ve even started saying “sorry” a lot too.

Gladys you have to eat well because you're breastfeeding Jaden so that he gets the proper nutrients from his mum
No dieting for you for the time being. Don't worry, breastfeeding mums always loose weight fast

When he sleeps, cut out the lights and get rest yourself because he'll be back up soon enough. See if you can pump for the nighttime feedings. That way you can feed him the bottle, burp him and put him back to bed. Swaddling those arms and legs and putting him on his side will help him sleep better and it will allow him to release any air that didn't come up. If your room is extra light during the daytime, put a dark covering over the window for the time being. A black sheet is good. He will sleep better in a darkened room. Everytime he sleeps, you sleep, regardless of what needs to be done. Film only when you're well rested. Any talking can wake him up.

Nights like these don't last forever, get a humidifier for his cough, he may have allergies. If your nipples hurt he may not be latching on properly. If you are in pain while nursing your baby can sense it. Contact his pediatrician or a lactation consultant. Mom you are doing a great job!

Get a baby swing and a car seat Glagys. They are gonna be helpful for you. The baby cries less when he is in a baby swing.

Have you tried to give Jaden a pacifier? Babies lick to suck to soothe themselves even when they are not hungry, consider trying it. He is beautiful. 😊

Gladys please lower the lights.. give him a sponge bath and take off all those clothes. Put on quiet music and check his temperature. You don’t have to say sorry just put him in Jesus hands. When a baby doesnt feel good they don’t like a lot of shaking and rough patting just light massages on his belly and soft quiet music… you will learn but you are being too ruff it’s just colic. Rub the back in circular motions and don’t give him any more milk for a while it will upset him more. I hope this helps I’m a nurse.
