top 5 common diseases for cockatiels:-
1. mites problem
symptoms :-
over preening
precaution :-
we should clean the cage properly and routinely.
we should also clean the nest Box after every clutchs.
treatment :-
provide a healthy diet food for the affected Bird.
natural method :-
spray boiled neem leaf water on the affected Birds.
how to make boiled neem leaf water :-
take 10 to 15 Neem leaves. put it in the water and boil the water. when the water colour changes to Green, take the water and put it into a bottle and spray on the birds.
artificial method :-
buy mites spray especially made for birds and spray it on the birds.
2. cold disease :-
symptoms :-
Cockatiel will be very weak and lazy.
the Cockatiel will also sneeze.
precaution :-
we should provide best care in winter and rainy season.
try to keep the birds warm.
treatment :-
we should give metrogyl or non metrogyl for the affected Bird. we should give one drop for one bird.
3. eye infection :-
symptoms :
the feathers near the eye of the birds will be fallen.
the eye will be swollen.
the bird will be very weak.
precaution :
we should provide the vitamins and minerals rich foods for cockatiels.

we should keep the cage clean.
treatment :
take boric acid, mix it with water. use some soft things like paintbrush, cotton and apply it on the bird's eye. state Ciplox eye drops and pour two drops on the bird's eye. give multivitamin to the birds.
4. scaly mites :-
symptoms :-
the scales will be formed on the cockatiels beak and legs.
precaution :-
we should keep the cage very clean.
we should also keep the pot or breeding box of Cockatiel clean.

take Vaseline gel and apply it with any paint brush or buds on the Cocktail beak and in its legs.
take Neem leaves turmeric Crush them and mix with water then apply it on your Birds leg and in beak.
5. loose motion :-
symptoms :-
Birds will be very weak.
the birds will be so inactive.
precaution :-
we should not keep the soft and proud foods more than two hours inside the cage.
we should not provide the fruits and vegetables without washing.
treatment :-
natural method :-
take few Pinch of homam,put it into the water boil for few minutes and then purified the water. provide the water to your Birds.
artificial method :-
provide One drop of metrogyl for nor metrogyl to one bird.
