Thank to you and @aramatkinson, I also built a cart from the same scaffold base. Was lots of fun and easy to do. And since I also have a little one at home, spending the 3-4K + right now just wasn't justified. :) Thanks for your inspiration.
I love diy. I got the cart from Amazon its a sweet cart but wheels are trash and noisy. Its very easy to transport which is what I need but something like this would be great for something that don't need much transportation.
That looks SWEET! When you replaced the stock wheels with the Rock n Roller wheels, were there any modifications that needed to be made or was it a simple replacement?
Mine fit in well. I just banged the base of the wheel with a mallet and they went right in. All these videos talk about ‘angle grinding’ but I didn’t have to.
HAHA that intro was amazing. I love the simplicity of your top shelf, and the pipe tubing around the frame is a nice idea I might steal! HMU if you ever make it over to the UK :)
I've been thinking of using a padded tape like a tennis racket/baseball bat/bicycle handle type of tape which will give you the soft padding but not stick out that much. Think that might be even better and will look super clean.
got mine for half off at home depot because it was a damaged box(the shelves were slightly damaged as well but were easily fixed) so paid 52 before tax for it.
Looks great, but you can pickup any kind of Rock n Roller Mulit-cart for for about the same price and spare yourself the hassle of building one. Cool but in the long run it's cheaper to buy.
Thanks man. I'm a gigging musician and this is perfect for all my stuff. Cheers!
So you're saying the 4K I spent on my production cart was a waste??? Bravo! I like it alot!
Thanks for the video! Fun to see another Hawai'i filmmaker. :)
Great. Please let us know more about your monitor rig please
The intro looks straight from Story Blocks! Great intro! and nice Cart. Love the simplicity
I thought the guy in the shower was really him 🤦🏾♀️. I’m like, “wow he shot this with his cart” then the next guy popped up 😩”
I’m gonna build one!! Cool video!
I was in the shower thinking about a film cart too haha. Searched for a a diy solution and here you are. Thanks for this!
hah. You got it bud. Happy New Year
This is so amazing, finally something I could make.
Awesome! Would love to see the director monitor setup 👍🏼
Great things dude, i just bought the adicam. Bit more sturdy and future proof. But this is a really great solution. Your kids are also real cute!
Great job. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Doing a build now, inspired by yours. Question, how did you get the side shelf off to paint the metal underneath?

5:16 If I had the chance to do it again. Was it too much🎵
You are the BOSS!! 😂😂😂
I only find the one without the shelf. What model is yours?
So your wheels fit? Mines don't I haven't been able to find anyone to file/machine them down properly
Great video - one copy of this said the rock-n-roller wheels don't fit and need modification. Is that true?

Just a little grease as its a tight fit. I didn't have any, so I just used Olive Oil :)

hey do you have the dimensions to your top board? much appreciated for any info and this video!
I do not. Just eyeballed it :)
bro whats the rubber / soft thing you put on the metals?
Those are pipe insulation tubes.
I don’t think those wheels will do well on location. Probably ok for stage but I’d put fatter inflatable ones .that’s one spot I’d not go cheep

Will do bro!

Cool story
What Rock n Roller Multi Cart has a top shelf for cheaper than $300???
In my opinion this is a better frame and more compact. I'm halfway to building mines.
That or a Rubbermaid cart on Marketplace for $50
