You were the only source of information I could find at the time from Spain to understand my own experiences as a non binary person. I'm so glad I found you, it was really a blessing :)
Thanks for the update. I feel like I can relate to a lot of what you're saying. I'm probably a little behind where you're at, since I just now got to a point where I feel like my transition can rest as the background of my life rather being the full focus. I followed your account(s) back when you posted about gender stuff, but I love the direction you've been moving in. And I would LOVE to hear a discussion about transphobia relating to the patriarchy and colonialism... if that's something you'd be interested in making ♡
Woa totally forgot about beyond the binary, I think that's how I found you. Can't even remember who else was on there ??? Anyway so grounded and insightful as always, much love to you
I understand this as: your personal journey of growth is pivoting toward unpacking whiteness, colonialism, and thinking more about antifascism and spirituality, and the shift in your content reflects that. I like this!
it was very interesting to hear your thoughts an feelings, thank you! i've found you by your videos about gender and polyamory, and they were informative to me at that time, and just as helpful and important as your videos are to me right now. i have moved in a similar political direction as you, but of course my experiences and environment are very different, so you are continuously exposing me to new topics and insights. thank you so much for continuing to film videos and sharing what is important for you, love your channel!
Hey Lane, I found your channels fairly recently and had gone back to watch a lot of your videos about gender. Broadening your perspective to include colonialism, anti-black racism and so on all seems very positive, and I understand how transphobia might be less impactful to you lately. As a non-binary trans person myself, I also experience a lot of the same frustrations you describe experiencing in your day to day. For my own part, as much as I want to be open to learning about, sensitive to and perhaps eventually help to combat other forms of oppression, transphobia is far and away the most relevant thing to me (as a white person). My own political goals involve combatting transpbobia because that is a cause that is "in my lane" so to speak and while I do hesitate to step too far outside of that lane, I also want to acknowledge the inherent (and in my opinion defensible) selfishness with which I might pursue political action. I think you made a really good point drawing an analogy to the far right and their inclusion of opposition of immigration, supporting refugees, muslims etc. along with supporting capitalism. My question is, where does this leave us? Is it reasonable to conclude that class is the umbrella under which people of diverse experiences can be united? Is such unity possible when, for example, transphobia appears to be particularly prevalent in the black community? Is it even desirable necessarily to engage in action with certain members of the left in particular who might be outright hostile to trans people?
