She aimed for the phone he held up in his hand but when she swinged, he lowered his hand and unintentionally, it hit his head and he died. She didn't have any intention of hitting him or killing him
It's unfortunate and saddening to find non-indian people missing out on all of our cultural nuances, which almost kills half of the essence of thr movie. For example, this fight love relationship of couples is really common and is the most genuine representation of an avg indian couple. The small pat on George's employee's head, is just a normal way of expression. Small sarcastic jokes were misunderstood as simple dialogs mostly due to the lack of understanding of our cultural tonality. Of course we aren't expecting you to understand these minute nuances, as even some Indians also miss these things, especially of people from other states. The experience could've been multiple folds better, but as a foreigner, that's the most you can intake from our movies. I hope that you keep watching Indian movies for a long time, and eventually know enough things that someday you get what is the real indianness.

story isn't new? hiding a crime is a universal concept but the scipt is absolutely fresh. and hence the movie was remade in several languages including chinese, tamil, telugu, kannada, hindi and latest is yet to come from korea. (hollywood even tried for a remake with central character swapped as a lady).. and also yopu have to consider this came in 2013. (the movie was successful in every language it was made, hope the korean series will be successful too

Inappropriate language just makes it eligible for 13+ in most cases. Also, it is to encourage awareness about tobacco as well among adults, as it is a somewhat huge problem in India as well.
