The Independance-class Battlecruiser looks to be a cross between the Constitution Refit and the Excelsior classes. I absolutely love the sleek design of it and wish to see it in action.
Excellent design. She looks like a successor to the Constitution that utilizes much of the Excelsior era technology. Paramount should pay you to make this ship canon. Either that or STO should pay you to use this in the game.
Paramount and CBS are more mired int internal politics than MARVEL Plus they are very overtly a "members only club". thus why Star Trek is dominated by the same people behind the scenes for decades even as tastes and sensibilities change and actors frankly AGE OUT. Then you add the fact that Star Trek is literally the ONLY Sci-fi (Non-Superhero) franchise that actually embraces the concept of alternate dimensions/universes even though the fans fight it like they were defending their religion. Its a good ship but if seems like a fan ship for the fan's (singular) sake. A passable design but not something anyone who matters, at CBS or Paramount, would actually make canon.

that is one sweet looking lady you designed there. i remember when i was 7 years old in the early 70's my sister and i were water coloring. she announced that she was going to paint a horse, and what she painted looked fairly decent for an 11 year old. i declared that i was going to paint the Starship Enterprise (at that time the Constitution class was the only class we ever saw for the Federation ships)... what i ended up with actually looked more like the Excelsior... more than 12 years before the Excelsior was ever seen on screen! LOL
Very nice. As noted, it blends the refit aesthetic and immediate post-refit (Excelsior) aesthetic, and even sneaks in a sly hint of Ryan Church JJ-prise in the "exhaust ports" of the nacelles. TNG's _Stargazer_ should have had these nacelles instead of the straight-up movie-refit nacelles.
This is a really great Design. The combination of all the different elements from various versions is fantastic. Once again I'd love to see so much more! I would really be interested to find out what the time frame and cost for these labors are. It would be so amazing to see a 15- 20 minute presentation of these ships. You guys do so well and give us just enough of a taste to want so much more. I'd absolutely support a Patreon for you and I think there are others out there as well who would. Once again, it would be so cool to see you and team put in a Production House full time and let you have your way with the monster rendering toys. $30,000 Mac Pro Anyone??? I think you would blow away stuff we see on TV and Movies. Your minds Burst with creativity!

I did for the rear of the nacelles. The JJ prise does have a few nice elements. The pylons are simular, but a little less curved and more TMP in style.
Definitely a better design for combat than the Constitution class, which had a thin neck and thin nacelle supports. Looks good! I'm still not sure I'd put the bridge prominently exposed on top of the saucer, though -- an easy hit once shields are down.
Showing us a BATTLECRUISER without a battle scene, this is an unfinished job.Shure all viewers will like to see the ship capabilities.Incredibly nice animation anyway!
Some very naughty captains in here! The Constitution and Miranda class cruisers had their warp coils energised and somebody used impulse within Spacedock. Manoeuvring thrusters only!!
An interesting kind of class. This could easily be used in the 24th century if they put it into production, because they then decommissioned the Constitution and left only the Excelsior, which was actually used in later times and constantly improved :)
I really like this design as a melding of the Constitution Refit and Excelsior designs. Your command of the 3D program is crazy good, I only wish I had a 10th of the skill there. IF I had a single criticism, it would be that I didn't get the feel of this as a Battlecruiser. More an upgraded Heavy Cruiser type of ship. Perhaps showing weapons emplacements and a demonstration? Just an idea,
This would have been a more sensible design for the jar jar universe enterprise, but instead we get a flying Apple store that looks like it was designed by an incompetent architect who smoked an entire dime bag.
A 'meh' design at best. [As] a lifelong fan, the JJ-verse (AU#5) Enterprise makes a great deal more sense from an in-universe, and from and franchise standpoint. First when you are trying to draw in new fans, of which there are vastly more to call upon than old fans WHO ACTUALLY KNOW A PHASER FROM A DISRUPTOR (trying not to sound like a supreme nerd), you present the ship in a way "casuals" will find appealing. And it is HARD to present the laughable cartoon color uniforms in anything that doesn't look like "an APPLE store", but then casuals see that as futurist and if even military vessels (don't kid yourself StarFleet is the Military, the NAVY, of the United Federation of Planets). Honestly their dress uniforms looked much more believable than they duty dress. Your "description" of the JJ-Verse Enterprise is just a meme, showing no thoughts of your own and go along simply to be "one of the cool kids". The AU#5 Enterprise is a very handsome ship, even if the bridge is way overdone compared to the rest of the interiors. I do not like the AU#4 Ent-A. That ship actually looks bad, especially in profile as the ship looks less refined and clunky compare to the ship it replaced in the universe.
This should have been the refit Enterprise. It looks much more like the Constitution class than the actual refit and Enterprise-A did. If you refit a ship as much as they did for the movies, is it even the same ship anymore?!
It isn't funny how much fan made stuff has the spirit of the source material and how much 'canon' stuff sucks roadkill through a straw. Nevertheless, a little flexibility is essential. Personally, I view Discovery as a trip down the road not taken: the "mirror" universe and the 'Abramsverse' aren't the only possible routes.
Any starship that has BATTLE as part of its designation is already screwing up by having the Bridge on top of the Saucer where it is highly vulnerable. Put a rail gun emplacement up there, where it would have a commanding position on almost the entire top hemisphere of the ship. The bridge should be inside, near the center of the ship along with sick bay, at the most protected part of the vessel. That is one of the stupidest things about Star Trek. How many star fleet personnel have bit the big one because they got crushed by debris when the enemy targets the bridge?
@Robert McConnell - OK , this thing looks like patched together, but it looks far sexier than J.J. Abraham`s "Enterprise" on drugs ... Also NO stupid J.J. lens flares = the greatest job you can imagine ( sometimes less is more ) .
Nice work on the nacelles, flat, round, both. I grew up in the late 60's 70's the USS Enterprise has round nacelles.

Nicely done. My only suggestion for this TMP era ship is to use TMP style warp drive effect, which was always my favorite.

I'm assuming that you borrowed some designs elements of the JJ enterprise? If so very nice job on converting it to a TMP era ship. Looks super cool!
