25/4 after 6 overs made me think Perth have just gifted the trophy to Sixers. Most T-20 teams after such a poor start get to 120-140 at best. But to reach 170+ after this proves what a worthy champion Perth is.

What they did was perfectly legal and not even exploiting the rules. You’ve always been able to retire a batsman out at any point. I’m surprised not more teams do it. That being said, I’m glad Scorchers won anyway

Congrats Perth scorchers from a Sydney Sixers fan but I do have to say our fielding was pretty pour and we should of been executing our bowling during the second 10 overs.
I don't think so , the bottom 4 teams were very inconsistent , particularly renegades and heat lost despite having big names and home advantages unlike scorchers . No one actually gave any fight to sixes, thunder or scorchers ( except strikers ) . It's not that hard .

Clearly the best team in the tournament lifted the trophy. Sixers was the 2nd best team in the tournament ended up at 2. Fair game. However this was the worst BBL for quality of cricket we saw this year. Hopefully they get better players next year.
Covid screwed a lot of teams over meaning they had to play local players who aren’t up to standard. Makes sense that the quality was poor. We did see a lot more centuries than usual though. Just a lot of low scores as well

I started watching cricket recently and the BBL was a convenient league to watch because of the time difference it was like 9 AM for me and I got hooked on the Sixers but this was a grim final, jeez.
