You will need to do 3 playthroughs to reach the true ending with each playthrough diffirent from the other. The scifi and mystery theme is deeply explored in the 2nd and 3rd playthrough. The game was an absulute rollercoster of emotions and It makes me feel sad that some players did'nt know about the 2nd and 3rd playthrough. There's 6 or more hours of content left in the game.
I was presented with a retro game screen (I suppose DF). When I went to choose scenes, I was redirected to chapter 1. So is it supposed to take me to a new ending?

I kinda agree. As someone who lived in manila, the details were super very accurate(brandings were made into puns). Pacing is a bit slow at times. But the sound effects were spot on. Schools are really close to busy roads so it is very noisy normally.
You should review this again! The game isnt actually finished with one play through since its about dejavu once you do another play through a lot will change over time and the true story begins (basically the first play through is the first act)
Did you press Continue after the credits were over? The game starts again, but things are different. I haven't played through it the second time but it seems you have to play multiple times to get the full story, and I hope the mystery elements get answered as well. Please look into it, loved the review!
Finishing off the second run through. I wish I had Cath as a best friend or Ridel or a lot of things. This game can get a little too tied down in the piano, but I love the Fur Elise jokes. This channel tipped me off to the game and I am happy it did.
I don't know if you were doing it for the sake of spoilers and i'm sure you've been made aware by now but you're missing out on ~2/3rds of the plot/content if you end it on the first playthrough. I didn't realize that literally everything changes on subsequent playthroughs (assuming you do it correctly (ie start from the moment where the first run's credits end)). The scifi portion of the plot takes your hand and yanks you along almost immediately into the second run. Also, they speed up / skip most of the slow stuff in subsequent runs as if they themselves were admitting "yeah ik ik you don't want to deal with that lets get the show on the road".
A lot of the features of the setting like trash bags on the road, referring to the teacher with sir rather than their last name like you'd see in a typical American school, parents working abroad (specifically the UAE) is similar to India honestly. Helped make me connect with the setting quite a lot.
@@NoMustang273 yeah we do call our teachers "sir" and "ma'am." Atleast in the game (1st part), the city looks a lot cleaner than an average Indian city. Mark's father is at least an engineer. So he would be subjected to long hours but at least he wouldn't be used a literal slave (like the Qataris exploited South Asians migrant workers = slaves to make stadiums for the Qatar world cup). I wish someone from India could make such a game! One curious question: are Filipinos very proficient in English? Don't trust Google, most Indians are really poor in English!
My first Visual Novel and I cant seem to get into others now since this one set the bar too high, anyone has good recommendations that has this sort of vibe?
@@envious926 That's the fluke ending, when it ends you have to keep playing (kinda like a restart) and where some parts of the story seem to have left unexplained in the first playthrough will make more sense

6:15 have you ever been to a school in South or South East Asia? As the Filipino guy said, our schools are next to roads (I'm from India btw).
