April we do a lot of laminate for commercial cabinets now another secret is make sure you got some half inch PB C lantern you lay it on the surface of the mdf then put your laminate on top of it and move it around to where you want it and then pull each section out and press down as you pull each section of pipe you put like 4 or 5 on each section of pipe And you can pull one at a time out from the side and then that won't stick to that PB C because you didn't spray it 1st and it's not something that naturally sticks to the laminate glue
Beautiful project! Only one change I'd recommend: Use piano hinges for the doors. You can end up with a lot of weight in the doors, and that puts a lot of stress on those three little hinges, and particularly on the small area of the MDF that they're screwed into.
April nice video and build this bar project. I been doing cabinetmaking and in woodworking since I was kid got first woodworking tool on my 10 th birthday was a router didn't even have clue what one was making a special trip to sears at the mall with my dad. Well 56 yrs latter i still try keep on learning all kinds different woodworking projects and products and you definitely done that and this video with the new type of outdoor MDF wasn't aware of so thanks for putting together this great video. I have work with plastic laminates and cut kitchen countertops. I have all ways used what i have always called a glue stick between plastic Laminate and top surface specification big tops to get all line up to hang over to trim off. thanks Jason Ham of Ham's custom woodworks Athens Alabama
I could see making something similar to this to use as my display at craft shows. It would give me lots of display room compared to the 4 foot folding table and 2 folding tables I use now. Plus on those days when we are at an outside sale and it desires to rain I could quickly close it to protect my product.
Hi April, Also, I was wondering if you could provide a hyperlink (Amazon?) to the those "special round inset hinges," that you used on the foldout top; please?
Your imagination knows no limits! Your creativity really shows in this project. This Home Bar is unique, functional, and looks very sharp. Good stuff April👍🏾💯
Don't forget to use a vapor respirator when using contact cement!! Great bar...I love this plan! Hoping it will work for solid wood. I don't see why not. Thanks for sharing!
Great project. Unless I’m missing something though, Armorite is hard to come by. At least in St. Louis, MO. Doesn’t look like any of the big box retailers carry it and no distributors in STL.
Tip for contact cement: usually you can put a piece of paper between the 2 surfaces to help you align them properly. Then you can slowly pull out the paper in sections as the 2 surfaces glue together.
I have been watching you for a couple years and really appreciate your content. Idea I would love to see is a Music Production Desk that has stowaways for the DJ Deck / Keyboard so you can Wire management Mounts for speakers
Hi April, I'm a little late to this one because of the holidays. I have several friends who would love this. Can't wait for the upgrade where you turn it into a wet bar.
That is one HUGE Captain's Chest. They usually open in one spot (the middle) with the bar top opening in the same manner. Meaning the original doesn't have the 2 support cabinets for the bar top.
Hi, April! ANOTHER cool project? Come on now! Besides your shop(s), you have to be living in the coolest place EVER! Can't wait to see what else you've got up your sleeve! Thanks for sharing! God bless.
I only wish I could be a profession LJ-a liquor jockey, like a DJ but with booze! I’d rock this bar all over town! Very cool. As it is, I’m going to build one for the garage-evening parties in the garage after the kids are asleep!
Very good project April...Especially for the Christmas parties and the wine...Hahahahaha......Merry Christmas and a happy new year April...Thank you for all the videos and ideas this year....🍷🍷🍹🍭🥂🥂🥂

Hi April,
Also, I was wondering if you could provide a hyperlink (Amazon?) to the those "special round inset hinges," that you used on the foldout top; please?
Love the trim and dropping in the panel! It has that look of a mortise and tenon frame with a floating panel. Very cool!!
Glad you like it!

This is fantastic! And I totally agree with your Simpli-Safe pitch. Their systems work great and they are a step or two ahead of the competition.
Thanks! Yes, Simpli-Safe is great! I'm very pleased with them. Thanks for watching.
Merry Christmas April.
Watching April reminds me of when I used to watch Norm Abrams New Yankee Work Shop years ago on PBS. Good stuff then good stuff now.
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying my Channel. Thanks for watching.
That’s awesome. It looks really good. Is it waterproof or need to move it under the patio covered?
What tools did you use for cutting the wood with. Is a small table saw enough og do i need some other tools for the wood. Nice design.
Nice project.
Personally I love the Murphy Bar that Michael Alms made a while back.

After seeing several of your Armorite projects now April. I have to wonder where do you buy Armorite MDF? 🤷🏻♂️

Padlock or that liquor will go missing [I know - sad but true]
Considering she made it for hosting, I think it’ll be just fine without a padlock.
A BIG PLUS ALSO…she is in TEXAS on a big piece of property 🤗😊
How about a little sign that pops up Bar is Open!
Great idea! Be sure to make it for yours. Thanks for watching.
🎄
How was working with tim and Al? I know that’s not their correct name (for the trolls)
