A good way to help you improve is actually, to start doing triple stroke rolls, because, its gonna help you get very used to the this rudiment, because if you remove one hand, and do have off the parradiddle, in one hand, youre gonna notice that, its almost like a triple stroke roll, but with a little delay.
As a 8th grader I was playing as far as platinum now I’m a senior and playing past diamond. Practice makes perfect. Start playing slower and accurate then work your way up
Was gold 2 doing this 2 weeks ago, 2 nights a week practise for half an hour on a few of these rudiments and now I'm at plat 2, these videos make great practise when played back to back as a playlist, just skip to the next vid when one rudiment beats you, loving them!

I was able to get from bronze to platinum in one week by doing this every day for 10 min!! I also did a 10 min NSDR video directly after each session to give my brain time to integrate what I learned, and it seems to have really helped my progress!

Can someone explain to me why you would want to use 2 LL or 2 RR at the end of the quad? Why not just alternate and start with the same hand...or is that the point of the exercise....

It’s my left hand too, I’ve never been able to get the speed that propels you to the next level, I’m 40 still haven’t got it as far a speed, I’m just a tight sludgy drummer I guess at best I just want to be able to do some cool snare and Tom rolls and ....not happenin.....if I practiced every day I could that’s the problem lol “love and marriage.......yada yada

Myangel Brown watch john wootens video on single paradiddles. He breaks down the technique for you. It helped me out a ton. I started out not even able to get through the bronze level clean, but after watching his video and practicing his technique for about an hour, i was able to make it to gold 3

Platinum 2 didn’t feel like much of a challenge but while attempting platinum 3 my left hand pretty much acts like it’s never touched a drumstick before
I'm the only percussionist that is in wind ensemble(the highest class you can be in) that is not in drumline and my teacher decided to grade us on our ability to do gold.
Finally made it to Platinum took 3 month to get there from Silver to Platinum . Very proud of my progress

I started using rebound halfway through gold, I got to platinum 2 and I can only maintain the speed for like 4 measures.

Try doing it on a surface that doesn't rebound
doing rudiments on a non-rebound surface really builds your chops
