THANK YOU I painted my door in the summer and did not re-install the handle properly. At this point I have no directions - it's winter - and the handle fell off because it wasn't tightened properly. It sprung apart into 6 pieces, this video helped me figure out how to put it back together!! ...and saved me a hundred bucks in locksmith fees.
Thank you for doing a video that got to the point(without showing your dogs, cats or cows). The lock set I was having issues with was a Kwikset. Someone had removed the instruction from the box and the half round spindle was reversed, I had never seen this before, @2:05 of the video...problem solved. Thanks
It was not necessary to drill a hole. Loosen the allen key on the inside handle, remove it, then remove the cover plate. This opens up the screw holes to latch the two pieces together. If you drilled, you marred the finished surface unnecessarily.
i got a 5 year old one. You claim 25 year warranty. Handle doesnt work any more. Your company seems to bank on cudtomers being too frustrated to call support

I liked the tired old handleset from the 70's.
I love how they completely skip the part where you may need to drill a second hole for the bottom of the outside handle.

@@brycechesser7809 “… drill a second hole FOR…” not INTO. It’s pretty obvious that I’m talking about the door.
thank you for helping me , all companies should have an installation youTube video!!! should have bought a Weiser!!!
This was super helpful. Thnxxx
Perfect! Thank you!
I bought one of these and there aren't even instructions in it. WTF. I also have missing screws.
They suck dude.
thanks very much for the video
The written instructions don't adequately describe which screws to use. A handle set box includes dozens of different screws.
Thanks the lock broke used this video to put it back together.
The deadbolt was installed crooked... You think they would line it up straight for a video...

Just installed one of these for a customer and the metal inside broke after an hour. She used it once.
Nope, definitely not that easy. Too bad!
This company makes total TRASH. the metal part inside the lock is made out of SUUUPER brittle pot metal that crumbles in your hand.
I downvoted this just because of the dorky hat.
These guys make trash. The metal inside is literally more brittle than plastic..
