I haven't read the book, but the movie can only show you so much in the time it's given.
I don't have a problem with the actors being half Korean, or half black. The fact that they are representing another race, the normality of interracial relationships and the different types of interracial people, is okay with me.
This movie was unlike any other teen romance film that I've seen this year. Tackling real life issues that real life people can face. It's a nice concept.
I love the movie, and I hope that just like me, it inspires someone else. Also, these two actors are amazing and I think they did a really good job at portraying their characters.

I love that Charles doesn't hold back from showering Yara with compliments, "You're so amazing" and "You're so beautiful" but I do wonder if Yara or Cami Mendes feel uncomfortable with it. You can tell Yara is kind of uncomfortable with it in this vid

Charles doesn’t like talking much. He’s very reserved at least based on what I’m watching here
