Suggestion; Use your land clearing machine to pullup all weeds overgrowth etc Then use it all to make a walled planter at one side of the properties that could also aid privacy & enable home owners to plant fruit veggies roses herbs etc

This was a green energy mill and should be restored to it's former glory and should fall under a historical operator act that exempts the mill from having to meet modern safety regulations, just as vehicles manufactured pre seat belt regulations should be exempt from being updated with modern safety restraints.

Would it not be possible to get the water running and utilise it for hydro power?

That's a really interesting property, might be good to search Google for blueprints of these old Mills, show viewers what they used to look like. To kill off that vegetation/weeds you need Roundup Provantage, just use protection when spraying as its dangerous stuff.

Roundup becomes soil resident and is a scourge on our society. Why support the giant chemical companies? Remove the weeds and dirt manually and / or with machinery. Please. Interesting project!

@@si_vis_amari_ama is there a recommendation on the chemical?

    • @si_vis_amari_ama

Usually glyphosate ("Roundup") is safest and effective, but in your climate there may be specific times or techniques used of which I am unaware in our milder climate (AUS). There are different glyphosate mix strengths to be used for different weeds. Im not even sure if it is knotweed, I have never seen it in real life. I know Ivy can be a bugger to kill though. Perhaps your local Council could help with advice, it might save you a lot of bother and wasted chemical.. Always use PPE and especially a mask when spraying.
