Seen Kim live many times. Wonderful singer songwriter that should have much more widespread appeal and notoriety. Listen and judge for yourself. Criminal she is not more widely known and appreciated,
You hear it all the time " they don't make music like that anymore". I've always loved Judith Durham and the Seekers, to those who said " they don't make music like that anymore", I say, sure they do. Here it is.
Kim has such a great and unique voice. I have always loved her music. She should have been a big star like Trisha Yearwood, although maybe it wasn't important to her. She kind of just did her thing. Awesome!
So true. There is or was no one like her. Why did everyone not know her name?? At least in the 90's. Especially because that "alt country" thing was happening and there was a lane for it. I know it's not a contest, but an example--Mary Chapin Carpenter got huge. Kim is 1000x better singer and more prolific songwriter. Every single record Kim made is better than Come on Come in that went trip platinum. No comparison! Anyway also agree that perhaps that wasn't her goal. Thx for listening to me preach Kim Richey ha!
@@Kelleyp I think you're vastly undervaluing MCC's talent as both a singer and a songwriter, and for what? Just to give your subjective summation that Kim Richey deserved to be the bigger star? There's no denying Richey's talent as a singer and songwriter, but making MCC out to be some kind of hack is downright laughable.
I'd never heard their version. After reading this I just listened. I loved it! A beautiful take and from a male voice. Plus anytime a big act records a Kim song and she gets some props (and some $) it's a good thing!
That is a great live performance and Kim nails the vocal! They should have shown a few close-up shots of Kenny Vaughn. After all, he is one of the most iconic guitar-sideman representing the Nashville Sound.
She is THE REAL DEAL. Love this song and her voice.
Is there a more pure voice? That vibrato/tremolo combo just brings me peace and I will forever be grateful for that.
Kim's songs are always a comfort. Who doesn't need that in this day and age of #COVID19.
The ultimate crossover artist! What country should be.
Music that works doesn't stop working.
Love love love Kim Richey....
Beautiful song, and kick ass band too!!!!

What a treasure! I just love this woman's music. Such an amazing performer and songwriter.
Love Kim Richey -
I saw her sing this song on tour back in 1997. Awesome song from awesome CD!
One of her most awesome songs, and she has tons of great songs! Love this stage setup and Kim's hair like this!
Beautiful! I love her voice... such an amazing lady.
She has the talent.
solid drumming....adds a lot

So good. Thanks for posting.
Such a smooth voice! Loved seeing her in concert twice!!!

Her voice smokes the voices of people who used her songs.

Pure, pristine voice.
Canta muito e ainda muito bonita.
One of my all time favorite songs.
Que música más hermosa junto con su significado de la letra
Looking forward to seeing her next May with Gretchen Peters. Wow, what a double bill. Every River one of my favourite ever songs.
I thought Brooks N Dunn originally wrote this song......... Man, I couldn't have been more wrong!!!!! Beautifully done
B & D did a butcher job of it in my humble opinion.
@@paulhare662 hard disagree
@@paulhare662 I respectfully disagree. I love Brooks & Dunn's version and I love this version. They are different but both beautiful.

Maura O'Connell also did a gorgeous version of this song on one of her albums.
Maura’s is my favorite version.
I rember it to. In Glasgow once upon a time
Excellent..!!
Great.!!
Great to hear her again. Is that Kenny Vaughan on guitar?
Yep !
Great guitar work by Kenny
He is so so good. 🙌
