Okay now I just watched most of this video and it's very apparent that I haven't even scratched the surface of crappie fishing all I've ever used was Plastics and I use the feather in the winter time I've never tired of jig and I don't think I want to start now. I know it's a lot to ask but I need your help so if you get a chance message me back or whatever you know get me started on a color pattern that I can use down there and start being productive and I just will have to start vertical jigging and also using braid so I don't lose so many jigs. So at any rate man message me back if you get a chance looks like I need to really try to get into the feather jigs more than what I am now and it's very obvious you know way more about this crappy thing than I do so I am going to try to learn as much as I can so I can feed the family. Thanks so much for this video man it really opened my eyes a whole lot just that fast.

@@SK_CrappieCatching thank you
My friend mr. SK would like to know if 1/8 also a 1/16 is a all around good size to use more than a 1/32 thanks my friend
I use 1/64 - 1/4oz. It just depends 1st on the size of bait that I see in the water then toy have to consider the wind and current....
I use all weights and try to go the lightest I can get away with.....
To answer your question a 1/16 is a good all around weight.....
Thanks for your time on these videos. I know how detailed and time consuming this process is.
I have been looking for a place to buy my materials. I have looked for skips web site. But I'm unable to find. Where do I locate his page?
TIA
Brad
Skips page had been up and down here lately. The are two other sources I use barlowstackle.com and crazyangler.com
They have all of what I use also....
Glad to hear you enjoyed the vid....
Good video. Thanks
Marcos Villarreal THANKS for watchn & commenting....
Can you show me again how you tired green jig again...
Which one are you talking about?
Good evening Sir, I saw a "Fishing Ken" segment and he mentioned you and your hand tied jigs. I'm here in Louisiana, and I love fishing for crappie. Is there away that I can by some of your hand tied jigs? If so it would be greatly appreciated.
Yes sir, he did mention using one of my hand ties but I don't tie to sell..... he won those jigs in a giveaway I did.... I'll have another giveaway coming up soon so along with watchn Fishn Ken check my vids out and you'll have a chance to win some....
Thank you so very much sir for the information. I'll be sure to be on the lookout for the next give away.
What is the best size flash to use on my crappie jigs?
1/32 works best for me....
@@SK_CrappieCatching I have the flashaboo but it is thin, What I see you using appears to be a strip of material. I have been looking everywhere for it. I hate to bother you but do you have an item / order number from Barlow's?

@@SK_CrappieCatching Thanks for all of your help

I'm more than willing to help but not understanding, what wire are you talking about? You can send me an email if you want with pics. skscrappiecatchingadventures@gmail.com
Where do you get your jig tying supplies from?
nice
Older video but has some good info.... Glad to hear you enjoyed it...... Thanks!
What is your opinion on tails tied with marabou vs. hackle?
My success with hackle is so good I've only tied with marabou a couple times....
Sk send me a few over here Mississippi let me try it out
I've got a giveaway coming very soon..... be on the lookout.....
HardHitta SkettaD Hey bro send me your number skscrappiecatchnadventures@gmail.com
HardHitta SkettaD crappie fishing is like opening a tin can only to find a smaller tin can inside that can and open that smaller tin can.....another tin can
The more we learn, the more we find out that there is so much more to learn...
We must become a student of the game

I see clear gorilla glue on your table. Do you ever opt for that or do you stick with designated fly/head cement?
LOL.... No, I use it to hold the foam in my jig box..... Just FYI it's turning out to work out the best of all the glues I've tried.....
@@SK_CrappieCatching , hey, ya never know. I should have the rest of what I need to get started by tomorrow. I've got 4 fluid beds made but finding slip plugs is tricky. I find I have more luck at mom n pop hardware stores than Lowe's or HD.
Joey Mabry I have pics of the required pieces that's needed from HD to make them, just need to find them.....I was suppose to make a vid building fluid beds but haven't gotten around to that yet....
@@SK_CrappieCatching you covered it in an earlier video along with how to paint. A coupling, 2 slip plugs, aquarium valve and a paper bag. I've watched it about 5 times. I got an aquarium pump with dual ports and adjustable flow. Just waiting on my valves to come in now. I'll send you a pic of what I got on LHF when I get a minute.
How much for a collection like the one you take out to the lake with you
