I have a few videos in my new players/PVP workshop playlist that are good to watch for new players! Some cover different mods but the info is good for RTS in general th-cam.com/play/PLSQnY9XRKeSYjxc9xLHM0ZdFx6QgkF0iY.html
This isn't for Dawn of War. But I think that the first 30 minutes of so of this video does a very good job of explaining RTS concepts for newcomers to the genre. th-cam.com/video/Rl4myN8q_KM/w-d-xo.html The rest of the video is useful still but he is talking about Age of Empires 4. I haven't watched Mr Landshark's ABSOLUTE beginner's guide but given it looks like it's for complete newcomers it looks like a good and useful video. There are always some new people to play with in Dawn of War. Lots of the players have been playing for a long time but you'd be surprised. People also often play multiplayer vs the computer too so that's probably a good place to start when dipping your first toes into multiplayer. I'm not in any but there are Dawn of War discord servers/communities that are probably pretty welcoming to new players. A tentative word of warning. Any lobby with "nn" in the name is a "no noob" game. They won't tell you this and just kick you because you won't have many games played.
Im also a novice and i got some advice from veteran players, first learn the basics of the game (eco, army...) and all the races troops and basic mechanics and choose what race u like. U can search for some build orders for ur race but thats just the beginning, rest of the game depends on you. Practice in skirmish increasing ai difficulty when you're ready and then 1v1 with real people (i cant stop losing lmao) and with time i think we'll get there
They are so slow. Anyone can outmaneuver them. They also depend on generators which are easier to destroy than outposts. So basically, people just rush their base and they can't do shit
Okay so if I wanted to learn how to play this game with zero rts experience whatsoever how would I go about learning all this????
There should be a tutorial in the first game.

Very cool game! We need more vanilla games!
the ork got the ragdoll trifecta of bomb chukka + fighta bomba + squiggoth rampage! that's how it's done
I don't think i've ever seen Necrons win :D
Dominate in lore so they have to suffer in gameplay.
