I KNEW it was something with "Riverboat" in the title.I remember as kids us laughing at the blatant innuendo of this machine when you hit the ball in a certain spot,a female voice saying "Oooohhh,don't touch me there" and then in other spots,a long female voice going "ooooohhhhh",lmfao!!!!!
There are couple of little bugs in the programming of this machine. For instance: if you turn off extra balls and you get 2 stars the display may lock up after the roulette round causing the status report to fail to appear. Instead the game searches for the ball, if it gets trapped on either flipper. Another bug: there are 2 stages of the easter egg. First one requires the ball to be in plunger lane, but the second one doesn't simply care about last switch hit by the ball. As the result it's possible to soft lock the game by doing the second stage as the ball gets locked in the slot lock. The only way to continue afterwards is to tilt the game. Neat fact: the programmer of this game was one of the programmers in Stern's High Roller Casino, which has same theme as this one.
I like the playfield and the game but that music is obnoxious. Too bad it isn't more of a casino floor sound. Everything else about the game is pretty cool. Great video, Matt.
Wonder if this was suppose to be a Maverick pinball machine but lost the rights to Data East? I could just see this as a Maverick pin as they are both kinda boat pins.
