I’m glad to see these girls are at least careful about dating apps. I met my Filipina online more than 20 years ago but not on a dating app. I checked some of them out but didn’t like them. We met on ICQ which was just a chat program and you could select different genders and different places to look for someone to talk to. It was much more fun than dating apps and not so much pressure. Never believed in the concept, but like some of your interviewees Rubi, I opened a profile out of morbid curiosity. I didn't expect much going in, so disappointment was a given. And for the expected reasons. Some keywords from my experience: catfishing, helplessness, judgmental, irrational expectations, job interviews, time differential, and the list is longer. There is a total lack of sensory perception to virtual dating, which is a serious handicap at even a basic evaluation of anyone. Non-verbal clues, such as body language, are minimal at best...The biggest problem I think is that people tend to take a picture of someone they think is attractive, and build a dream around that picture. While that may satisfy some sense of longing short-term, long-term it sets up the parties involved with entanglements brought about by ill-advised promises made based on insufficient or outright bad information...Say nothing of the expense! I paid $30 USD for one week, just to get a few contacts. Three or four months of that, one could use the money for a plane ticket... 😏 ...So if you're just using it for a meet and greet, or to populate your contacts, it's probably okay. But know the risks and limitations. But trying to find love?...It ain't for me... 😒 ...Stay awesome, Rubi!... 😉
Some things you probably left out
1. Scammers (they'll suggest you invest in some bullshit to rob you, they'll give you some sob story that's a complete lie to rob you, food diggers that use you for a foodie call & then ditch you & unmatch you)
2. If you're interested, she's not, if she's interested, you're not
3. Ghosters, they'll match but never initiate, never respond or ghost you after 2-3 messages
4. Catfishes, there are two types, real people playing around vs the website itself using dumb bots or real people to reel you into a false sense that there's somebody in there that's actually interested in you, as opposed to their site having just a handful of people like some other apps.
5. They're only looking attention or some fun & male validation
6. Prostitutes & girls looking for "sugar daddies"
Basically too many women have basically become psychopaths & devils.
Opened out of morbid curiosity, that was the first lie. The idea that the system isn't filled with both bad and women is ridiculous, there are just as many dishonest men as women. The idea that you can find a good match on a site is true but 90% men who complain are writing or contacting women that they shouldn't and the same goes for the women. Realistic expectations probably cut the field by 80% but people tend to focus on the 20% that are not attainable. That is how the scams become so prominent they play into people's desires and vulnerabilities.
Rubeauti, just like us men watching out for the Filipina scammers , there are many men out there wanting to hook up with a gorgeous Filipina just to have sex and leave. But there are the few purr of heart with each other. I used Christian Filipina. 1 scammer and another who is my girlfriend. These ladies are correct , it is better to meet in person to actually see if there is a connection. Thanks Rubeauti. Jerry
I would give Christian Filipina a try if they had a 1-month trial to see if I like it; least option is 3 months for $97 a month is a little steep for me, and I think I'd connect with someone in less than 3 months anyway.

You can't. Wheat Waffles channel (not paid to promote him) explains why and how Geo-maxing is just a form of Money-maxing. IRL, you'll get the same results (or worse) than online. Most will ghost you or be "polite" and use soft rejections. You have to lead with your wallet (never good) with the poorer ladies and your odds of finding a Uni educated attractive young lady are near zero unless you went to her same college. You can find single mothers, what most find, or a girl looking for an OFW visa that lasts a lifetime to send money home and to have babies as her retirement plan. In other words, ladies who equate love with money not passion and intimacy (romantic love).

@@bobbruce4135 My experience is very different than yours. I met my wife on Filipinocupid (FilipinoHearts at the time), and she never once asked for money. We've been married for 11 years, have a beautiful daughter, and a great marriage. I've also never been asked to provide for her relatives. We lived in the U.S. for a few years, then moved back to the Philippines, and have been here since 2016.

The problem with dating apps is women say over and over in every bio no hookups but when they come across a guy like me that’s not sexually aggressive till I’m comfortable with them they find me boring and ghost me after a few responses
At least you get matches and responses, I think I got something like 1-2% initial responses from the 50-100 matches I ever got on Tinder in the 1.5 years I was swiping on it, and the only one that was interested enough I had zero desire for her, I only matched with her because I seemed to be out of options, and eventually I just gave up. Then I had a period of just hating women, & technically still hate them, at least the modern woman, which I find to be entitled & infantilized jerks, more so Western women I guess, with a few exceptions I've only found outside of dating apps and outside of my own country for the most part.
When they say no hookups its a lie, just don't be aggressive. I've invited "no hookup" girls over and smashed.

The dic pic thing is because some women on some of these foreign dating sites, try to encourage guys to show them their you know what. Which i tell them no, I don't do that. And some of them do get mad when i tell them no. Remember one time i had to report one to Tech. Support about it.

I've had this love and hate relationship with dating apps. People on Tinder are too wild for me, especially passport bros. They would blindly swipe on everyone. I've been on a date with quite a few of these foreign men and every single one would always have this expectations that I'd end up sleeping with them after the first date. But I know better than lose my virginity to someone who has no intention to genuinely bond and form a connection with me. So I politely decline the sexual advances, pay my part of the bill and bid them goodbye.

So the consensus is most women there do not use a dating app. So the pool of finding a good woman is very small on the apps.
Exactly. But, IRL isn't much better. I've been there many times and the ladies stick to their barkadas. They don't just open up to strangers and cold approach. However, with enough time, the financially strapped ladies, often single mothers, will open up where they perceive the foreigner is a walking ATM. That's mostly what you'll find. You have to be introduced and known to the family.

The closest is The Filipina Pea's video "our children our money makers - Utang na loob" (or something like that). Mostly, the girls are not given unconditional love common in the West. The consequences of "conditional" love is the child is forever (think Stockholm Syndrome) trying in vein to obtain their parents unconditional love. They will work as OFW's sending money home. The reunion when they arrive is anything but welcoming. Just more pity stories of the sick Caribao and how the daughter has proven herself inadequate. The sense of parental entitlement only gets worse. This is not very child who is an OFW or marries an old foreigner, but probably most. Nobody discusses this. But I've been living the Asia Pacific since an early teen and know this to be true. Peace.

I would like to know a lite more about you, because I am interested in knowing. No other reasons. Are you or were you married? What is your age? What province are you from? Are you a province girl or a city girl? I hope that if you were in a relationship with a US citizen, that it ended well?
There's a term in statistics called sampling bias that is very relevant here. The people your interviewed are confident enough to be on camera and are out with friends. Their preferences are likely not representative of the population
Why are the ladies wearing masks outside?
Your interview skills are superb. If you tried to interview groups of ladies like that in the States, they would call the police on you. Too many "Karens" here. That is why most Kano start using dating apps to find a beautiful Filipina.
Tinder and bumble are the apps that Filipinas use to date pinoys. Filipina Cupid and Asian dating are apps where Filipinas use to scam foreigners for money. As you can see. Most of the young hot Filipinas are only interested in Filipino guys not foreigners. The Filipinas mainly interested in foreign guys are single moms, chubby or older girls.
I do not believe that is true I think you can interview in the US
You could interview in the US, especially being a female and in cities like Seattle with many visitors. But, the ladies rank males at the top 15% in looks as only at the median of 50%. They will tell you the guys have all the luck with many girls interested in them. That's because 85% of men are either invisible (5 to 7 in SMV) or repulsive (sub-5). See Wheat Waffles for true examples.

As much as I respect their approach and what they are saying I cannot agree from obv reasons. I meet my girl on Badoo. After 2weeks I must admit i wanted to close my account but that last weekend i matched with someone and we are going strong for months now. We are working on my papers to visit her and at the same time we are working on her documents to visit me afterwards. I guess the difference is we started just talking and being silly, joking and goofing around. (same dam dam humour) After couple of days we got hooked and we knew that if we want something we have to be serious about it. It worked.
My advice be EXTREMELY careful. for 1 normal legit person you have like 100 scammers (girls and men alike)
- Tinder is a big no no, very difficult to talk to anyone there and it feels fake.
- Filipinocupid is full of scammers, especially girls. Buddy of mine tried to talked with 6-7 girls and all of them wanted money from him. one girl asked him on the first day and the last one lasted a week before asking for some cash.
- Bumble didnt work for me at all.
- Badoo was the only app where you were able to talk to someone but still everyone wanted to switch to instagram.
Expect video call if you want to be taken seriously.

I got hundreds of messages from Filipina from 18 to 60 y/o on Filipina Cupid and others . I narrowed it down to just one after a few months . Half we're scammers. of those left I felt half were desperate just looking for a way out of their situation (sad) . 25% are real people looking for a relationship.
You're absolutely right about FC. That's exactly the same experience I had. Luckily, it did work out for me and my wife. We met there, back when it was called FilipinoHearts, and we've been married since 2011. A lot of people told me, "She's only after a green card", but the truth is, she didn't want to live in the U.S. so we now live in Cavite with our 10-year old daughter!

How refreshing…women want to find partners organically, there is still hope for this world, lol. I’ve never used a dating app but I’m fascinated by the business model and data analytics of the apps. Feels like the rise of hookup culture due to these dating apps is creating more rhetoric of “all men are trash” and all women require the 6’s…but of course neither are true. Great interview, the women have a good head on their shoulders.
The younger city Filipina have a plethora of options in the city, whether it be work, family , church or going out etc. This is why do not feel the necessity to use the apps, even if they wanted to meet a foreigner guy there are places that foreigners are more prone to hang out in BGC for example. The great thing about the dating apps is it takes out the heavy grind out of the “ wish list”. For example I personally knew I wanted university educated, middle class Filipina …worked out etc. So that instantly cuts out 95% Filipina’s …but it’s more romantic to meet in person if possible.
The west has the problem & it gets worse every day..

Well they are young and have a plethora of options and most Filipina’s are not actively looking for partners…they are enjoying life and family …especially the younger city Filipina.
I really enjoy your street interviews always, you a really natural communicator. There are always some interesting and surprising answers. For my 2 pesos worth, those girls were all working city girls, with many opportunities to meet people every day, either at work or just out and about in general. In short they have the many opportunities of anyone who actually lives there. Most girls on dating sites are not girls with good jobs in the cities. Many are single moms, and many girls there have no job, and few opportunities to meet guys, especially if they want a foreigner. Dating sites are not for everyone, and girls need to be careful on them, but in the modern world I think they have their place. Thanks Rubeauti for another fun video….oh, love the dress btw.
morale: they don't use apps, scammers instead they often use it, their prices are insane so you could be tricked into thinking those apps are good, and if you have to spend some bucks to know a girl just choose a bar and offer a drink to the girl you'd like to know, or buy her real flowers. Yes, be rejected on live is not nice, but you are gonna improve your social skills anyway, and not just your scrolling speed.

Most of these young ladies you are interviewing in BGC and Makati would be using a dating app to find a local boyfriend, not an overseas potential husband. That would be a different type of app. Was your intention to try and find ladies who were using those kind of apps? I think you’d need to find a different target location. Maybe somewhere in a less well off area and near a mall.
The blonde haired lady in the tan pants/shirt who is going to school and working is perfect. If I were already in the Philippines, she is the type of woman I would be trying to be with.

As a victim of dating sites (including those for Filipina's) myself, I get it. People's behavior on them can be disrespectful, deceitful, and opportunist. At the moment, I can't go to the Philippines but it would wonderful to meet a Filipina. Once I get there, though, I will only have a limited amount of time to meet someone with the hopes of establishing a relationship with the right girl as I understand most of them tend to be somewhat shy. So it's a catch-22 situation, but I'll keep at it.

Anyways, if a foreigner ever wanted to meet/have a relationship with a Filipina, are they allowed to go to USA, or does the guy have to visit the Philippines first? I don't know the legal requirements for that stuff. The majority of women I've met in the USA have been awful with very bad morals and pasts. I live in California though, so many people here are bad immoral people.

The Pea just did a video on dating apps. It's really bad. But, you already know that. I've been in the PH many times since I finished grad school. It's all fake love IRL or online. I don't even bother to look anymore. If you're extremely religious and traditional and are just into gender roles and want a relationship that looks like Chris Rock's "I Think I Love My Wife" with lots of added religion, you could potentially find it. Funny that most are expecting or hoping for a "cute meet". That is leaving a lot up to chance. Will the right person see me? Will the right person take a chance, and talk to me? Will they be scared of my potential reaction or my radiant beauty? What if the Jeepney is late and he finds someone 8 minutes after I left?
Facts. It's funny how much effort a woman will put into selecting the perfect face moisturizer or cosmetics, but for a life partner? "Nah no dating apps and I will probably ignore most guys who approach me in person or slide into my DMs, until that random 'cute meet' that just happens to hit me in the right moment and say the perfect lines" - complete lack of reason & reality but "Where are all the good men?" when they hit 30+. This psychology creates it's own tragedy, wake up ladies! 🙄
They have jobs and school. Not all women are fantasizing about getting a boyfriend or a husband. Most of the couple I know and myself never actively “look” for a partner. It just happened that we met someone and we clicked.
The only friend who did not succeed on dating is the only one I knew who actively seeking one. She has a lot of work she needs to do, she's insecure and have this delusion of being a “independent woman” but she's too naive and lazy to actually be a boss babe (I had not talked to her for two years because I said something bad about her MLM company and she told me she's not listening to me because I am not Bill Gates).
Dating apps are sketchy it leads to horror stories lol 😈😈
I will have to wait until Im there, Im moving to PH end of 2023, the dating apps are horrible, nothing but scams and no responses, trying to make a connection for a real relationship, I guess better to just wait
Personally I don't talk about sex unless the other person asks, the ability to have a conversation is far more revealing and important. I do, however receive a lot of messages with explicit photos which I neither want or ask for.

I always laugh when I see young people sitting at the same table texting each other. How disconnected can you get and how will you ever have a real relationship. Actual conversation is the most engaging thing in the world. Young need to learn how to do it instead of text

A lot of what they say and feel about the various apps is pretty much universal in the dating world while chatting and hook-ups associated with certain apps have to some degree run their course and continue to lean more towards a novelty in some respect. But like anything else, new apps will come along to entertain a new group or generation and that too will run its course and so on...

I have been VERY tempted to use Filipina dating apps however, I will not arrive in CEBU until June 2024. I cant go through the agony of not being nearby to meet. I'll start the search for my Filipina when I arrive, probably seek IN PERSON rather than app.
