So last week we discovered that the childhood friend is actually the sister, and this week we discover that the sister is actually the childhood friend, the mind boggles.
The childhood friend is Masha (Alya's sister) but according to Yuki (Kuze's sister) a childhood friend is someone you've known your entire childhood which applies to siblings. In short, the girl that we see in Kuze's dream/memory is Masha.
Eye color can change naturally from childhood to adulthood. Many babies are born with blue or gray eyes, but their eye color can change as they grow older. This change usually occurs within the first few years of life and is influenced by the amount and type of melanin in the iris. As melanin production increases, the eyes may darken and change to green, hazel, or brown. This process typically stabilizes by age three, although slight changes can occur later in life due to factors like aging, disease, or injury.
That is true, and i am a example, when i was born with dark green eyes and blondeish hair, as i grow up my eyes got brown and my hair dark brown, almost black whit glints of Gold here and there

I don't care if her Russian isn't perfect. It's a Japanese anime. Not a Russian anime. Just being understandable Russian is good enough. How many Japanese voice actors are perfectly fluent in multiple languages? Probably none.

The eye color thing could also just be Kuze's brain filling in the gaps of what he doesn't remember. Like, he knows this girl was Russian, and Alya's the only other Russian he knows, so if he doesn't remember the kid's eye color, that could be an explanation. Other than that, eye color can realistically change over time, but the series might just be exaggerating a bit for the sake of plot. Also, I feel pretty confident in saying Kuze never met Alya before middle school, because unless Masha was always living with Alya in both Russia and Japan, Alya would have been in Russia at point, not Japan.
