The whole loosing aggro on Warrior and other tanks is basically JUST from Pictomancers doing their burst right away while you are running to group of trash in dungeons, usually Mithril + GCD AOE holds out until you got everyone grouped up and most dps cant do massive damage while moving so when Picto just runs their Hammer stuff right away you just lost aggro leading to being a bit frustrating.
I has always annoyed me to no end when dps can't wait those 2 seconds for the tank to grab aggro or come to the end of the pull. I always make sure the tanks get their two step aoe combo out, and everyone's happy.
yes the paladin issue is, the rules of leveling dungeons are as follows, you will get a piece of gear for your job but it will always be gear you havent received, meaning if you want a full set of gear you would need to run the dungeon like 11 times and then the final gimme piece will stop dropping. I assume something broke and treated paladin gear as not unique, which resulted in getting multiples of the same piece.
I assume the new raid has a "waiting area" where all the quest NPCs and portals will be located. So that spot will have extra instances in place so youre not elbow to elbow with hundreds of other players for the time being.
The bug with revisit and treasure maps: it only showed the map as an option, it didn't let you harvest a second map. If you clicked it, you'd get an error message about being allowed one map per day.

The PLD issue I experienced was getting the weapon chest when I had the weapon already. But obviously you have to pop the chest, so may it checks for the weapon in inventory/AC and skips dropping the box. Other than that, I’ve never seen it.
map sounds like an amusing oversight since with unspoiled/legendary nodes they most likely had to add a "reset timer on node when proccing" meaning that a regular node with the map would end up hitting the timer on the ability to gather a map which of course is unintended.

I like hitting enter like any chat you want to stay in, but you couldn't do that in Tells anymore. You had to keep selecting their name again, each time you wanted to send a message. This expansion I figured I'd level jobs I haven't played for some time, such as Monk and Astrologian. I know some ASTs aren't happy with the changes, but I like them. Makes card play much easier and the moves like Earthen Star are really cool. I haven't played Monk since Stormblood's big changes, and seeing 7.0 made it much more interesting to me, and now we have 7.1 just boosting all the damage up overall. What I am confused about is why SMN got an AOE 500p heal with Solar Bahamut, and still has the useless Physick.
Imagine if they added a new arena for CC (if you're into PvP - a 5v5 match where you escort crystal to enemy's side). [Spoilers ahead] Say "Megalopolis" which is based on Solution 9 in Dawntrail. The Highways give you a speed boost (like how the other speed paths in other arenas), you start on a hoverboard, and can use it to move and use once per life (if you die you get hoverboard again), and deals 30k damage to a target when you press button (hoverboard can also be a new mount, where you press same button but it targets you instead but you jump back onto it)
I wouldn't rest easy on Viper yet. This is only 7.01. They said they would be doing changes in 7.05 as well because they couldn't get it all done for 7.01. I am PRAYING its only removing positionals for coils, but that wouldn't do much for 'busyness'... so I am not hopeful they wont ruin it entirely.
As an astro main, i am over the moon with these fucking changes, fighting valigarmanda was suffering, but this time it moght be easier to do the fight.
wasnt umbral soul level requirement lowered mainly due to issues getting MP back at lower levels? also the monk stack change for raptor/coeurls fury from my understanding basically means it goes back to its EW base rotation again just without the buff/debuffs still
I think WHM are fine as they are. I would only ask for a bit better survival. out gearing others in the group with mechanics were DPS can get up to 3 stacks and you can still potentially die from 1 mistake it's just a bit too unforgiving for heals in normal dungeons especially with all the movement mechanics.
I really wish we got more solution 9 themed gear and not wrestling gear. I’ve been pretty let down with the gear styling this expac (except the one dungeon).
Monk main here yes I agree😂 "give me all the buffs" but as far as the simplified rotation goes. They basically just put it back to how it flowed in Endwalker. Now, Its no longer... 123,456: 156,426: 126,453:😂 ect. ect. The only thing they didn't do to fix it was put 'Wind's Reply' and 'Fire's Reply' as instant cast abilities rather than weaponskills😢😢😢

The monk changes isn't a simplification it just made the rotation a 2-2-3 again, you'll swap the first two buttons every other rotation and the 3rd button every 3 rotations
but you know the average MMO player, if its not overly convoluted and back asswards, then its "dumbing the game down". as if the number of buttons pressed is proportional to its "difficulty". more buttons = more difficult = 5head 5D chess player.
I don't get the point of the warrior change Were people able to hold primal ruination for 2 in a 2min window? Instead of one each minute? But even then, it's still possible to do because 20s is the buff range, and it's now a 50s maximum delay And what's the purpose of the Monk Chakra Change? It was just DK that was broken, why are they removing the coolness of 1-2-3 :(
Strange they buff Astro even more and didn't touch Whm potencies. I was expecting a potency buff to Glare 3 or 4 to bring its personal dps more in line with Astros rdps. Right now there's not much of a reason to have a Whm when Astro can do almost as good personal dps and has Macrocosmos while passing out dps buffs. Also strange there was no buff to Blm since its the lowest dps of the casters and is supposed to be a greedy dps. Picto is just so overpowered it is the clear choice to go for clears with. People might play Smn or Rdm for the resurrects during prog.
I'm just so glad that they didn't change Monk that much. Basically just potency changes and restoring the punishment for not being in stance for your opener from EW. I was so scared when they said they were doing major changes bc I LOVE DT Monk.

They really do need to start frontloading more of the core abilities on a lot of jobs.
