ADORABLE! I had a sandy haired dwarf a few years back. Dwarf bunnies are the cutest things on the earth. Cute as puppies but they stay cute all their lives. RIP my precious Charlie.
Adorable, but then it hits you how sad it is that pets get toyed away like that..all for aesthetics, competition, and companionship. There's a double edged sword factor to all of this..sigh lol
@@kostar500this was started for farm animals that are in shows and when you have the best animals and win awards people buy them… want to know what they often buy them for? Livestock. Animals that are in these competitions get the best care
I have four bunnies, one of them is a Netherland Dwarf. He is so cute. The video is quite sad, is like the bunnies are just a toy for competitions, they can’t even move, they need to stand still with all those people, other bunnies and noises around of them..
@@Liynze You don’t know behind the scenes. Like, you never know right? I’m not dramatic, like, I swear my bunnies get all startled with loud noises, like, when an ambulance is doing that ambulance noise they start running like crazy to hide! All bunnies I met is like that. They are sensible, more than humans ofc, they can hear more than humans! Like, a bunny can die just by taking a whole body bath without a vet guiding and stuff. Few minutes can be the last minutes for some bunnies 😐 Sorry, my English is not very good, it’s not my first language.
@@143Wolfchannie Personally, I show rabbits, so I do know behind the scenes. These rabbits are conditioned their whole lives to be used to loud noises and to be handled like this. House rabbits and show rabbits act very different. If a rabbit is extremely stressed, they can be given pellets that help them relax.
@OchseUwenknecht535 No, lol. Idk what propaganda HRS us feeding you, but as someone who grew up in shows not one single person has ever done that. Maybe a little lavender to call nerves here and there, but no one has ever sedated a rabbit for show. Showmen train rabbits from around 8-10 weeks old to be able to sit in the posed position. No different than training a dog how to pose, or training a house bunny to do tricks. Seriously, I'm both confused of where you heard that, and shocked that you think it.
See, this is why I could never be a judge, I would be giving out way too many blue ribbons. Where did I find all of them? Do not ask such silly questions!
@user-gz9cd4pm6e. I totally agree. The way humans treat animals makes me furious. 'Humanity'... now there's a term which in itself is a total oxymoron.
stop being so sensitive. they live happy and pampered lives. nothing wrong with breeding healthy rabbits and showing them. its the same things as dog or cat shows. trust me, they are living better lives than many house rabbits that are thrown around and coddled by children. studies have shown that rabbits like enclosed spaces more than open areas since they are prey animals
The cages you see most of the time are just transport cages. They are not "toyed around" the judge is checking the body to see if it is up to standard. These standerds exist to better the breed. If show breeders did not exist most rabbits would have a plethora of health problems as rabbits are very prone to health issues, and show breeders go out of there ways to prevent and breed out such problems.
The way they are handled and having there heads turned like that. I don’t think you would like someone to handle you or your kids like that. They’re not trained just abused and scared to move
stop being so sensitive. they live happy and pampered lives. they just need to be still for a few moments while they are being judged. the "harsh push" is just a correcting agent to make them pose correctly, it doesn't hurt. its the same things as dog or cat shows. rabbit shows keep many breed standards alive and you should be thankful for them. trust me, they are living better lives than many house rabbits that are thrown around and coddled by children.
Hey american ND breeder here 👋🏻 most judges recently have been moving towards a less exgadertaided look when picking BOB. And most are not being shown so head high anymore😅. Hopefully soon we can get to this level.
What if one of them is a brilliant surgeon that cures poor people for free? Could be, you and I don’t know about their lives outside of this bunny show. Just let people have fun. As long as they don’t put to much stress on the rabbits at lesst
Time to put on my glasses, show breeders breed to make rabbits with less health problems and better confrimation AE less chances of joint and muscle pain down the line. Show breeders and back yard pretty pet breeders are not the same. Show breeders do extensive research on genetics and how to make a healthier rabbit over all.
They look like they're having a good time.

We have to think about this in a holistic way. It is a competition, it is a business but they can be our pets as well

Omg, The Himalayan Dwarf so cute. I like her.
they are so still

haha they look like toys cute.
The Black otter and smoke pearl are so beautiful
Other people bunny: very calm
My bunny: I hate you
they dont seem as small as i thought they would be
the bunny DNA is still there.
Is that the max size?
2.5 pounds
Hopefully the breeders did their best to breed out the dental issues that are commonly associated with this breed.
Malocclusion is a disqualification from show. So yeah that's a serious no-no for show breeders.
Most breeders don't continue lines that have malocclusion, most end up going to pet homes

It is hard!
Rabbit shows are cruel, people breed rabbits for show and then put them in small cages
Getting toyed around and put on display is straight up cruel

Poor bunnies stop animal abuse
Please explain how they are being abused in this video
The way they are handled and having there heads turned like that. I don’t think you would like someone to handle you or your kids like that. They’re not trained just abused and scared to move
Yes seems a little rough. That first woman jerked the poor bunny around. Calm down and be kind 😑

I love how they are posed. Americans have created an impossible thing with how they are supposed to be posed here.

Is there any farm that sells rabbit worldwide????
Rabbits are not toys.
What was the purpose of this video anyways? It was only 1:35 long.
Showing how other countries judge
@@TheRabbitShow .. Yeah, it's rather weird to say the least, but it was too short. That was my point..
As a american ND breeder I quiet liked seeing a insight on British showing.

horrible puppet masquerade with real living life
why do some people waste their lives doing these stupid things?
