Nike did not just give Caitlin Clark 28M. Nike is betting on CC can sell shoes. They are betting on CC fans buying CC shoes/merchandise. Nike is not a charity throwing money around to everyone. Same goes for Wilson. Wilson thinks they can sell CC basketballs and merchandise. Otherwise it would fullish to offer her a contract.
Some people really can't see past race! You know that Nike has done their due diligence when it comes to their bottom line! Just as you said... "They're NOT a charity!" So glad that the vets I genuinely enjoyed watching don't have the same bogus takes as the folks still playing right now. Angel legitimately grew up and became a true professional over her career, so it's mind boggling how Carter can get picked up by a team but Angel is free floating. 👀 The fever need a HOF vet point guard to really help CC reach her full potential. Can only imagine how much Angel could teach her about reading defenses and getting to her spots

To be clear Reece was not "pulled down" from her throat. AT had her back to her and reached back with her arm. Her arm was going in a backward motion. Angel did the equivalent on CC.

I would not compare Angle to Magic, I think she is more like Dennis Rodman down and dirty. Dennis was good and would do what it takes to help his team even if it was a little dirty.
People may be human. But, jealousy and envy are two different things. When you get to the point whereby you are attacking another player because of it, it becomes dangerous. And although there may be other good players, they are not marketable. It is all about who is bringing in the money.

Man she nailed the problem i have the most....teammates. Where are these players teammates? As Dion Sanders said, "If one of us is fighting, we all fighting". As someone who played organized sports all the way up to college and then into the military, i dont understand watching your teammate get mushed and do nothing. If you came after one of our people....we are coming to you. The same happened towards us. I caught a fastball to the ribs for a teammate. Dude was crowding the plate and wouldnt back up, so our pitcher removed him from the plate. I was the next guy up to bat in our half of the inning, and they backed me off the plate in the very next pitch. lol. That teammate apologized and bought me Bar-B-Q, so it was worth it. lol.

Johnson and Bird were rivals yes. But not in the same way Reese and Clark are. I could be wrong but I don’t recall dirty play on each other. Their game did the talking. They had respect for each other even in their rivalry.

The difference is the players getting away with it or not. Brown who toke down Angel in LIVE PLAY was rightfully ejected. The girl who popped Skylar while LIVE PLAY AGAIN, was hit with a common foul that was correctly reviewed and upgraded to a tech. The worst shots on CC are not being called AT ALL! No fouls, no whistles, nothing. The cheap shot by Carter while NOT IN LIVE PLAY, wasn't even reviewed or considered to be upgraded. She walked right up to a player, who wasn't looking at her, in a dead ball play, called her a B*ITCH, knocked her to the ground RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE OFFICIAL. And all he his sorry ass did was call a common foul? My god, Stevie Wonder could see that was a flagrant foul and Carter should have been ejected. That is the problem. It isn't that players are playing her hard, it is the REFS who are adding and abetting this kind if crap and it needs to stop. It was just a matter of time because the REFS were letting it slide. Play after play, CC couldn't even attempt to defend herself. The same shit REFS have called 3 techs on CC, all of which are based what she says, not what she does. So what kind of logic is that? CC can't even open her mouth without getting T'd up but players can willfully knock her to the ground while not looking but that's not a tech?!?! You have to do some serious mental gymnastics to not see the lopsided BS going on. Players are gonna play, but REFS need to REF.
