@@luckypillgrim1913 Warframe graphic are pretty intense. You might wanna tune down a little or buy a graphic card cooler. Being 70c is fine tbh, my dual fan variant goes up to 60+ c when in full load.
This is a very detailed and informative video. Makes me want to buy a 1060 even more. Keep up the good work man. Hope you keep the same way of presenting videos like this
You should get the EVGA sc version, I have it. Playing Farcry 4 on it right now on almost ultra everything. Only occasionally have I seen it dip under 60 fps, in most outpost attacks, it stays over 60 fps still. Temps are very good, roughly high 50s I get, the max I had was 69 under benchmarking, and under 30 idle on a cool day.
Pretty much the same here, with my card only dipping below the 60's in games like Planetside 2 at 1440p.These cards are great in terms of sheer performance.
Has anyone else noticed the 80-100 dollar price gouging on the 6GB versions just so they can sell more 3gb versions? If you spend more than 300 on a 1060, you are not very smart.
IN other words they are raising the price to sell more 3gb cards. I don't think they planned to release a 3gb at all but had to undercut the RX-480 so they tossed it together.
Shrugs, I am not sure why. I would never choose a 3gb over a 6gb 1060, I am still going back and forth in my mind on a system I am building for my gf if I should go with the 6gb 1060 or 8 gb 480. That Sapphire Nitro is a good looking card. The only reason I shy away from just doing it is because she likes to play in SecondLife and ALL R series cards have a screen tearing issue there including the RX480. It is clearly a driver issue but AMD doesn't care because its an older game. It's a known bug for many older OpenGL games. It is kind of weird. I mean both cards are already low end, why would anyone want the one with less Vram? They would regret not spending the extra 10 or 20 bucks later. That is at normal pricing, right now the 6gb 1060 is being sold way too high. I have found 1070's for less than some 1060's.
Adjust the settings right and it will perform much better and look slightly worse than ultra. I could almost do ultra on my 750 ti at 1080p. Just have to turn down features I don't notice. Scaling and AA tend to waste huge amounts of VRAM for slight improvements above 125-150 percent and 2x respectively. Keep those down and AF up. Reflections eat up fps too. I'm not sure how much is from VRAM exhaustion. I keep them low. Textures as high as I can see a difference.

I have a question, how come you're saying ASUS is not the fastest at 6:40? On what basis do you say that? I did some research and the ASUS one has the highest memory clock, boost clock and core clock. It has the most GPixels, GTexels, GFlops and Bandwidth. Everything else is the same on the cards. The order goes like this; ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1060 GAMING OC > EVGA GTX 1060 SC ACX 2.0 > GIGABYTE GTX 1060 G1 Gaming Rev 1.0 > MSI GTX 1060 GAMING X > Zotac GTX 1060 AMP! ASUS having the fastest clocks and speeds and the most capacity to overclock since it has such a great cooling and a program made for it called GPUTweak II. ASUS might be the priciest, but it is the fastest and the quietest. I have the ASUS 1060 one, and the fans don't even run at all, even if I am playing some games and the temps are really low. I haven't overclocked yet, but I plan in doing so. Let's see how many of these single fan, or low CORE CLOCK/MEMORY/BOOST CLOCK cards can get overclocked past ASUS without getting too hot, or loud. I heard Gigabyte has coil whining on their cards, EVGA has fan problems, ZOTAC isn't as good as I have heard and MSI was pricier than ASUS where I live. For me the best choice was ASUS since I have a big case and will be overclocking and I like the LED colors. ASUS also has a really good support.
The listed clock speeds don't mean anything, they all turbo above those numbers anyway. Without touching a thing, the EVGA SC 1060 runs at 2GHz. While the ASUS might go ever so slightly higher on manual turbo, few people will do that. Further, the ASUS card is $50 more expensive than the EVGA, it isn't worth the money unless you just like 3 fan RGB cards.
+Tech Deals You do realize, even if they all go turbo and etc. So will the ASUS one, not only that, but the rest will have higher temps and the fan will be running on higher speeds and that means more noise. Not only that, but if you decide to Overclock, the ASUS one is still going to be the best. Even if it's "slightly", the ASUS one is faster. If you want numbers, I can provide. Hello. I wanted to know if is a good idea to install one of the 1060 cards on my pc build or should i go for a 960. here's my pc build: Intel 6500, 3.2GHz MSI B150M BAZOOKA 16GB 2400 RAM AeroCool 600W Power suply 80+ bronze LG Ultrawide, 25" SSD 850 250GB If you still recomend the 1060 on my specs, which model should i get? thank you for the great video and for the time wasted on my comment.
Thank you for you reply. Continue the good work. Just want you to know that you are really captivating, and I dont usually subscrive channels (I know, I should help more the youtubers on that matter xD) but your's was a must.
when ´will they released in Italy? why they removed the SLI - bridge ? i´ve got before a gigabyte gtx 960 ( 4gb edition ) in sli mode , it was a beast - it beats a gtx 980 easily sorry my english is not good
i finally bought the msi one and from your description, both seems to not run fans at all if the temps are below 60c or something. i haven't experience the fan running at full speed so it's mostly at 36-40% power when it does run and it runs quietly. in terms of noise level, it might be negligible difference for both so either one is ok to get imo.
Dude i seriously like your videos, they are so informative and most importantly, they are fairly easy to understand, everything is just on point and straightforward, keep it up man!
+Tech Deals I understand the budget limitations, didn't mean anything wrong, but I can't seem to find a good comparison between g1 and strix 1060s. The offers that I am getting here atm are: G1 gaming 1060 - 305 euro, Strix 1060 (O version) - 345 euro So in your opiniom, is the 40 euro difference worth it?
+Tech Deals Yea, rgb is a less important factor for me. Performance comes in at first place, both graphic and cooling. I am a bit of a gigabyte fan too I guess. Strix has about 30ish more MHz, and more pipes in direct contact (6 for strix and 2 for g1), and even one more fan (g1s are a bit bigger and spin in different directions to improve the flow tho). I do plan to overclock the new card as well, so I'm just trying to find the best option in the first go that I won't regret in any way. I always tend to do my research before buying stuff
strix ti je 323e. oc najjaca verzija ti je toliko. najbolja kod nas u ponudi je msi gaming x, ali drzi cenu. msm da je g1 305e i asus dual 300e top prica
xZeus Yep! I just got the windowless Fractal Define S for maximum noise reduction, can't wait for it to arrive so I can compare to my current window case.
I can agree that overdoing the lights in a case can look "tacky". That said, I do have a case with a smaller window (Thermaltake Commando Snow Edition) and I must say that the subtle glow from the single LED strip at the top of the case is rather pleasing...plus it makes a great night light. As for lighting on individual components? No thanks...just not my thing.
Bleach McBleachersen In dx11 amd driver is shit for having big over head thus causing cpu usage too high. In this situation you need to use nvidia instead of amd.
I've been building my own pcs for over 15 years now and i must say i really enjoy the way you talk about these cards. I have a regular EVGA 1060. At the time Amazon was wanting 330 for the superclocked so i went for the regular option but it still performs fantastically and is a great update from my R9 280 card. I can't wait to see what you do with the game tests and fantastic content so far! - J
After digging all around internet, I finally understood something about GPU:s, thanks to you! In comparison to other youtubers, you told everything simply and shortly, bringing pros and cons without any useless information. Thanks man, liked and subbed!
Much respect on this review. To me this review came across without prejudice towards any specific brand. Thank you very much it has help be a great deal.
omg! u r the best bro! thnx for the precise detailed info, very much grateful, eagerly waiting for upcoming videos...keep up the good work, stay blessed!!! :) (y)
This video is very informative from the perspective of a hobbyist. You told me the things I cared about clearly and concisely; how much does it cost and are the more expensive ones worth it? I don't care about CUDA cores or how many extra watts it draws when OC'ed -- I just want to know if I can strap it into my PC, throw out my old GTX 560 (Yup... over 5 years old now) and I can run Overwatch at max detail at 60 FPS. I'm definitely subscribing, and I look forward to more videos like this. Keep it up!
Hey man! Thanks for the video! Just in time for me since I want to upgrade from mine 950 to a 1060. Probably will go with strix since I have a window and the backplate is always welcome)
I know this is several months old but I bought an open box 1060 3GB for $159.99. I love it. I personally game with only 1080p as of right now and the performance difference between my GTX 660 and the new 1060 is about 100% increase in FPS. I am very happy with my PNY 1060. Thanks for the videos.
@Tech Deals What intel CPU under $200 would you recommend to use with a 3GB GTX 1060, an I5 6500 perhaps? And what mobo? Right now i have my old Phenom II x6 1100T and i feel im having a big bottleneck there. Love your videos man, specially how clear and easy to understand they are ;)
Hi!! I´m spanish, and it is the best explication I´ve seen about these cards. Take my "like" and I hope see you soon on your next video.....Great Job!! P.D.: I´ve bought the Zotac and in 2 days I´ll install on my old AM2NF6G-VSTA.....
This comparison could of been way better. I was hoping graphics benchmark and noise level charts comparing all three of these video cards. Price differs, but both graphics/noise will be the same and might sway my purchase decision if one card is quieter.
Great video. Too bad I saw this after I already bought my asus 1060 turbo 6gb :p. Should have spent some more money and bought a strix instead ? Is it a decision that I'll regret for the rest of my life ? Also as a side question, I have an old i7 2600(not the K one) 3.4 ghz processor. I think the default bios settings allows me to overclock it to 3.8 ghz. Should I bother with a cpu upgrade ? And if so, what should I go for ?(within a reasonable price range of course). Thanks in advance.
Great video. My only complaint is; how are you getting frame rates so low on your 960? Is it the 2gb edition? My EVGA GTX 960 4gb OC edition performs a lot higher than your 960 in the same games on the same settings. Probably at least halfway between your 960 and 1060 benches. I'm running the FX-8350 as well which is nothing new.

I regret not having discovered this channel earlier. It's informative, straight to the point, well produced and has a confident, calm presenter. Too many other channels are full of fluff and obnoxious personalities.
These videos are great. No nonsense, no bullshit. The only thing that I can think of to make these videos a little better is an intro and outro. Keep up the good work!
What about MSI GTX 1060?
I just did an RMA on my evga 970 and they sent me back this 1060 sc card! EVGA is the best!!
"That's a mouthful" That's what she said
This guy can stare at a camera, point at boxes, and spew out all the technical details w/o any stops or hitches. Now that's talent
Tech Deals
I'm Very glad that I found your channel you not oly concentrate on high end stuff you also think about people with low budget and you explain everything in detail ty :)
Hello. I wanted to know if is a good idea to install one of the 1060 cards on my pc build or should i go for a 960.
here's my pc build:
Intel 6500, 3.2GHz
MSI B150M BAZOOKA
16GB 2400 RAM
AeroCool 600W Power suply 80+ bronze
LG Ultrawide, 25"
SSD 850 250GB
If you still recomend the 1060 on my specs, which model should i get? thank you for the great video and for the time wasted on my comment.
A 1060 would be a great card for that computer
Thank you for you reply. Continue the good work. Just want you to know that you are really captivating, and I dont usually subscrive channels (I know, I should help more the youtubers on that matter xD) but your's was a must.
when ´will they released in Italy? why they removed the SLI - bridge ? i´ve got before a gigabyte gtx 960 ( 4gb edition ) in sli mode , it was a beast - it beats a gtx 980 easily sorry my english is not good
Maybe Nvidia did that because 1060 is a very capable card, sli might hurt the sales of 1070.
Two 1060's would, from what I've read, be better than a single 1080. Basically making a 1080 useless
it will makes it better. there is only 43% speed difference between a gtx 1060 and the 1080.
almost all the cards are almost equal in performace but msi offers the most silent one i think 38db as they claim and fans are off on light load.
I plan on getting one. I was thinking the Msi one is the best.
I think STRIX is the most silent one, since the fans don't even run sometimes.
i finally bought the msi one and from your description, both seems to not run fans at all if the temps are below 60c or something. i haven't experience the fan running at full speed so it's mostly at 36-40% power when it does run and it runs quietly. in terms of noise level, it might be negligible difference for both so either one is ok to get imo.
Dude i seriously like your videos, they are so informative and most importantly, they are fairly easy to understand, everything is just on point and straightforward, keep it up man!
I just found this channel and this video made me subscribe, you have the easiest and simple way to explain and i love it!! keep it like this :D
Gtx 1060 is better then my 970 g1?
yes and it better then 980 at certain game..
Yes, but not by enough to make the upgrade worth it...
You have a great card, if you want more performance, look at the GTX 1070
cuz gtx 1060 not support sli =(
The gtx 1070 i want to buy but with the 1060 im gona lose alot of money trying to sel the 970 i have!
K. Thanks
What about the palit 1060 6gb! Cause I'm getting that in a good deal!
Why isn't G1 Gaming 1060 included :'(
Because I don't have an unlimited budget for graphics cards, and frankly it isn't a good value at $290
+Tech Deals I understand the budget limitations, didn't mean anything wrong, but I can't seem to find a good comparison between g1 and strix 1060s.
The offers that I am getting here atm are:
G1 gaming 1060 - 305 euro,
Strix 1060 (O version) - 345 euro
So in your opiniom, is the 40 euro difference worth it?
Strix has nicer RGB lighting...
Do you like RGB lighting?
What does a EVGA SC cost there? Keep in mind these all perform about the same.
Fantastic video all my questions answered in a single video thanks guys!!!
Thank you very much dude , you aswered all my questions about which one to buy , +1 subscriber. Keep it up!

Hey if you are not using the two other cards, do you mind if you could ship them to me for free?
its like asking for a dollar
Pakyu Ka
You can give me a gtx 1060?
yep just give me $300
Pakyu Ka Can I have it for free?

Awesome Review! way better and much more informative than the two previous ones I watched for the same comparisons.
ohh man i love your english , your voice is super cool .... you deserve a subs 😉😉
this is a fucking excellent video
Surely I'm not the only person that finds lights on internal components tacky and sophomoric?
Nonprophet I agree, I didn't even bother buying a case with a window.
I find it unecessary. My case is opaque I can't see the lights anyway
I dont think it can run ARK: Survival evolved at epic settings at 1080p with 60fps
Anime, and Games. Are in my DNA. it runs around 45-55
that game is very cpu bound, and bad optimized
Michiel Cuypers its early access

All your videos are great and you present information very well! I'll subscribe and look forward to all the content you'll put out!
Now this a review. No custom pc at the background that less than 1% of the population can afford. Straight to the point comparison.

@@punani_slayer4209 lol bad deal you try to scam ppl this way?
the answer is easy
rx 480
Not even close
much better
Bleach McBleachersen 1060is much better.
John Yang not at all
Bleach McBleachersen In dx11 amd driver is shit for having big over head thus causing cpu usage too high. In this situation you need to use nvidia instead of amd.
Man, I really like your videos! Suscribed, and sharing your channel with my friends :)
Just subscribed. this is an amazing video, thank you very much for the clear info
i really love your reviews, they are comprehensive eaisly understood and just A pleasure to watch, thank you for doing such a great job
After digging all around internet, I finally understood something about GPU:s, thanks to you!
In comparison to other youtubers, you told everything simply and shortly, bringing pros and cons without any useless information.
Thanks man, liked and subbed!
You helped me purchase the EVGA -- thank you so much for your review and help!
I love how you explain things, you are indeed not biased on each Graphics Card. THUMBS UP Keep it up!
hope u continue the good works, your explanations are easy to understand
Much respect on this review. To me this review came across without prejudice towards any specific brand. Thank you very much it has help be a great deal.
dude i just realized i love your style and the way you talk + the good content=sub
I really love your video every time you make a review about the difference of the gpu and what should I buy! Thanks man! this will help a lot..
Very helpful video thx for it. Also I like how you explain everything in such high detail. Great video
omg! u r the best bro! thnx for the precise detailed info, very much grateful, eagerly waiting for upcoming videos...keep up the good work, stay blessed!!!
Keep it up!
Simple, easy yet helpful. Thanks!
Hey man! Thanks for the video! Just in time for me since I want to upgrade from mine 950 to a 1060. Probably will go with strix since I have a window and the backplate is always welcome)
Useful video! I like these videos a lot, subscribed!
This is the honest and clearer review ever!! Keep it up! looking forward for more reviews from youuu!
WOW! Really loved the video. Excellent review. I like how you picture different scenarios and recommend what to do. You just got a new subscriber!
I know this is several months old but I bought an open box 1060 3GB for $159.99. I love it. I personally game with only 1080p as of right now and the performance difference between my GTX 660 and the new 1060 is about 100% increase in FPS. I am very happy with my PNY 1060. Thanks for the videos.
it was actually very informative, thank you!
@Tech Deals What intel CPU under $200 would you recommend to use with a 3GB GTX 1060, an I5 6500 perhaps? And what mobo? Right now i have my old Phenom II x6 1100T and i feel im having a big bottleneck there.
Love your videos man, specially how clear and easy to understand they are ;)
Very informative and detail. Great review!
I find this video very useful and informative, keep up the good work.
Great video. Thanks! You made me change my mind from a Gigabyte G1 Gaming to the EVGA. Subbed.
What brand ??
GTX 1050 ti
*MSI* / *Gigabyte* / *EVGA* / *Asus* / *ZOTAC*
GTX 750 ti
*MSI* / *Gigabyte* / *EVGA* / *Asus* / *ZOTAC*
Very informative, exactly what I needed answer thanks for the video!
subscribed...your content is just too good man
Hi!! I´m spanish, and it is the best explication I´ve seen about these cards. Take my "like" and I hope see you soon on your next video.....Great Job!!
P.D.: I´ve bought the Zotac and in 2 days I´ll install on my old AM2NF6G-VSTA.....
Wow pretty sure you helped me choose my 1060 3GB EVGA. Really good card especially since it was replacing a 6770HD radeon.
awesome man u just got me i was looking for the same info about the cards
I really like how you explain everything, thank you for sharing your knowledge, im suscribing
very easy and clear to understand. makes it very easy which one to buy.
Thank you sir keep up the good work.
Calling it! You're gonna get a lot of subs very quickly. Video quality is actually pretty good. Kudos
u have my subscribe man
good job and keep it up
in my country those cards are almost the same price
Ur soooo good, very concise and to the point :)
Good in depth analysis, appreciate the vid
I like this guy. Awesome reviews keep it up your got yourself a subscriber :D
Thank you.. I was freaking out thinking I had to get a new 400+w psu. It's great to hear it'll run just fine on a 300w.
Thank you very much. This video is what I needed!
good channel, good reviews, hope it grows. all the best
The EVGA was out of stock. The Zotac was £5 more - I got it. Very happy with it. BF1 open beta on Ultra at 60 fps :)
Great videos man, you have the type of content I find missing from the big techtubers. Keep it up
This comparison could of been way better. I was hoping graphics benchmark and noise level charts comparing all three of these video cards. Price differs, but both graphics/noise will be the same and might sway my purchase decision if one card is quieter.
You make great vids bro, i find them very informative an very honest for a noob like me, keep it up
Great video, thanks :) Subbed.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Really good job! Thank you for buying all these cards and telling us unbiased opinions.
You should have mentioned the 80+ psu certification and the amount of watts on the 12V channel, way more important than the overall psu wattage
I'm running the FX-8350 as well which is nothing new.
a very well put together video! thank you!
Absolutely sick video! First time visiting
Great guy, thanks for the reviews.
