Today, I'm reacting to a collaboration between our dear DIMASH QUDAIBERGEN, LARA FABIAN and AIDA GARIFULLINA with the song "TI AMO COSI". They are also accompanied by IGOR KRUTOY on the piano.
I didn't know the song. I also never heard of AIDA before so needless to say, I was definitely surprised to hear her sing for the first time!

I recently saw highlights from this show which I think is a birthday concert for Igor Krutoy, beautiful concert & Andrea Bocelli is also featured on it. There is backstage footage of Andrea & Dimash singing together in a dressing room. Dinash also does Olympico on a raised platform which is above the main stage & it moves out over the stage as he's singing & the skaters dancing below. It's a spectacular show. This was Igor Krutoy’s 65th birthday celebration in Russia. All the artists in the concert were people he has worked with over his career including Andrea Bocelli (Andrea played piano backstage while Dimash sang as he wanted to hear Dimash sing! (it’s on TH-cam)) All the songs were composed by Igor. The ice skaters were all Olimpic standard and this was the final performance of the evening. Lara was very sick for this performance and this was the only song she performed. Dimash sang 5 songs including a duet with Aida called Ullise. Aida is a Russian Opera singer who is the prima donna of the Vienna opera house. She is considered one of the top 5 sopranos in the world. She competed with Dimash in 2019 for the best Opera singer in Russia in 2019 and Dimash won with the song Olimpico (Aida was runner up). Aida joked at rehearsals (video is on TH-cam) that she could go shopping and Dimash could sing her part, as well as his own! In Ullise Dimash takes the Baritone/Tenor part, apart from the very last note in the song, which is the highest note in the piece! The whole concert is amazing!

👉 The lady in white is Aida Garifullina, *1987, a Tatar from Russia, world-famous opera star and Prima Donna at the Vienna Opera (Austria).
The lady in black is Lara Fabian (*1970), also a world-famous singer, songwriter from Belgium and a great role model for Dimash. Even as a child, Dimash wished to be on stage with Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian one day ... and here the dream came true.
This event took place on the occasion of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoi (composer at the piano) in 2019. Can there be a nicer birthday?
* Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Krutoy wrote of what working with Dimash meant to him: “How lucky it is to be doing what you love to do, writing for such a brilliantly feeling singer, evoking deep emotion in the audience and being in demand'.
So far, Igor has composed several songs for Dimash and many songs in 30 years for Lara Fabian and other singers. Most of the songs in this concert were by him.

Let me tell you that Lara was sick that week, the night before she told to Igor (The Master and her friend since 2005) that she would probably have to take a shot of morphine to get heal faster from pain and a strong sore troat. Dimash was present in that moment she told Igor, there's a vídeo of it... Then, Lara really took a shot of morphine minutes before that performance, she also performed more 4 songs at that concert, even though she was feeling very sick. Thank you for another reaction. 😊 Hugs.
I believe Aida is a prima Donna singer in Vienna, but has worked with Igor at times.

Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event:
• Igor is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed
• This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with”
• This also explains why the song does not exposes more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton.
• Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable
• Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently.
• It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara: look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it …
• Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 5 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man
• Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara
• Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀
• I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons at least on a weekly basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers.

Some vocal coaches highlighted that her belts are classically supported belts, with an incredible precision on a spinning airflow in her throat and mouth that maximize the resonators. They told her support and breath management is a masterclass.
I can definitely understand their point! You can certainly hear she has amazing support and breath management, even if you're not a trained singer. :)

Queen Medley with Super Vocal Boys is an incredible demonstration of Dimash’s ability to harmonize with groups! Very worth the watch! I always love the balance Dimash provides vocally when singing in any combination: solo, duet, trio, quartet, etc. Cheers from Canada!
Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday concert at the VTB arena in Moscow. Watch from the same concert Olimpico with Aida and Dimash - dramatic and awesome. Aida is one of the top 5 opera sopranos, member of the ensemble of the Vienna Opera House.
I think this is the first time I’ve seen Igor actually smile at the end of a performance. He must have been so happy to have all his favourite singers together for the evening.

Dimash was part of the school choir for years. In some random interviews it was said that as a child he complained of always being placed close to girls because of his vocal timbre.

If I am not mistaken, Aida is in top five Soprano in the opera world. You know Lara, she is one of the top contemporary female singers. For Dimash to switch between classical and contemporary to blend with two distinct female voices that can’t be more different than earth and sky apart requires a very finesse gentleman skill.

Я собираюсь отреагировать на сотрудничество между Димашем Кудайбергеном и Ларой Фабиан, которая, я думаю, является одним из его самых больших кумиров, а потом с Аидой Гарифуллиной. Я не знаю, кто это, но они поют песню "Ti amo cosi" вместе. Я не думаю, что знаю эту песню и, о чем она, но мне интересно увидеть этих трех певцов. Верно, что мы всегда слышим, как он ведет основной вокал. Я никогда не слышал, как он поет вторую линию. Гармонический вокал, супер красиво. Давайте слушать дальше. … Танец (фигуристов) для нас… (на 4:40). О, это Лара Фабиан. Посмотрите на нее. Посмотрите на катание на коньках - это так впечатляет. Лара знает, что Димаш восхищается ею, верно? Это мило, это мило… Они все поют по-итальянски правильно, и всё это довольно интересно, что (была) первая часть с Аидой, а затем вторая часть с Ларой. Так что Димаш как бы переключается между ними. Мне трудно следить за переводом текста песни, т.к. я больше концентрируюсь на гармонии между ними, на танцующих и их связи с песней, которую интересно видеть. Я думаю, что Лара знает, что она идол для Димаша. У них будет тройная голосовая секция. Это хорошо! Мой бог, у меня мурашки по коже. Посмотрите на это. Это просто безумие. Фейерверк! Это был приятный опыт. Боже мой, как красиво это место, какая красивая арена. Мы видели все живые возгласы из толпы, все эти милые пары фигуристов, которые делали свое дело. Это было потрясающе. Я не успел слишком хорошо рассмотреть детали, но я в целом видел, что это было безумно хорошо. Эти три потрясающих певца вместе в этой гармонии просто сделали это. В прошлых видео, которые я сделал, был только Димаш, и я иногда задавался вопросом, как он впишется не только в гармонию, но в какую-то группу акапелла, как он будет действовать в группе с другими людьми. Это получилось просто здорово, это просто дает отличную гармонию с тремя разными голосами. Во многих песнях у вас правильная основная вокальная линия, а затем во многих случаях есть второй голос, но немного приглушенный, как бэк-вокал. Но здесь все три мощных вокальных линии находились в гармонии друг с другом, а не как бэк-вокал. Я действительно не обращал внимания на то, в какой момент и кто из них исполняет основную вокальную партию, но, я думаю, что они переключаются между тем, кто исполняет основной вокал, и тем, кто исполняет бэк-вокал. Было очень приятно видеть этих троих вместе. Очень удивлен Аидой - я не знал ее раньше, но определенно она удивила своей классической подготовкой. Из-за отсутствия у меня классического образования я не могу сказать слишком много технических вещей, но определенно можно сказать, что все было сделано правильно… // Пересказано с субтитров.
