I always get the feeling that Steven enjoyed his walker appearance, he seems to be really enjoying it. I never liked Simon, he was a very good bad guy though. His end was fitting imo.
For some context…my husband and I both worked background on the show for several seasons. He was a Savior/Maurader and I was Hilltop. He was in the Negan and Simon fight scene. They filmed that one scene for 14 hours. Seriously one of the hardest working crews that I have ever had the pleasure to witness. They are nonstop and constantly outdoing themselves. It was an honor just to see the crew and the cast work on a regular basis. Seriously some of the best times I have ever had was on set.

I wish he would have been nominated for an Emmy because he deserved it for TWD alone. The best day on set was his final filming day which was the flashback scene of the pile of dead bodies when he was bleeding out from being impaled from the rebar. I was in the pile up in 9x05, “What Comes After”. The emotions he portrayed, how he prepped for the shoot while onset. That was truly one of the best filming days just by seeing an end to one era and the start of a new one.
@@beth633 that’s fantastic, I’ve been a fan of the walking dead my whole life but my family and I only ever watched up until about the end of season 8, a little over a month ago I decided to restart it and finish it and now Im on the fourth episode in season 9 (and yes I know that Rick dies) I know it can be hard to tell a walker apart when they’re all jumbled together, but is there any way you can point out which walker you are, since it’s perfect timing I’ll be watching that one next
Hearing Carl's voice read Rick's letter was so sad...🥺 Rick's lost so many people, but losing his son is devastating and hes got a battle going on in his head atm. 😕
I can't believe how many people turned away from this show before these last few seasons! The entire series is awesome and is one of my favorite shows of all time. I so love these reactions! Especially the Marvel Movies you've been doing lately. (I wonder if we'll ever get to see Trin?)
I am watching another reactor going through season 7 & I have been actively wound up by his knee jerk opinions . I will never understand why the violence that started season 7 was any worse than terminus, noahs death, the first ever scene of the show etc.

I have to agree seasons 9-11 are not perfect same goes for 7 and 8 but damn there is some masterful string of episodes from each season that in my opinion far surpasses some of the earlier seasons/episodes
It was good seeing simon get his due. Dwight's and Eugene's arc is a perfect example of how you never know how the writers will twist your brain and do the unexpected or make you feel different about a character.
This episode pretty much confirms that Simon was actually responsible for the Oceanside massacre of every male that’s why they had Aaron’s side plot in here.
Other than being 6'1'' TWD did a great job of making JDM "Negan" appear to be a bulking big guy with use of attire, character and camera angels. He sports a very modest build for being a vegan in real life. That just adds to JDM's ability as a great actor.

It seems like if something is in the least bit on the negative side then people automatically call it “awful” or “garbage”. I just feel like people don’t realize what true awful is. Ricks speech feels like the end of an era for The Walking Dead. In a way it’s him putting murder Rick aside for what he thinks is for good. I’m sure he’ll be very murdery in the spin-off though.
The only friends Eugene ever had that Rosita is referring to always treated Eugene poorly and with disrespect (especially Rosita) Eugene’s motives are completely understandable given how Negan gave Eugene both respect and authority.
From episode 5 there was a hint of Negan losing control of the Saviors and over time it got worse And Simon betraying Negan didn’t help But this is pretty much the episode where not only does Negan kill Simon but also reestablishes his control of the Saviors and prepares his final move The strongest part of this is the talk between him and Michonne At this point Rick and Negan have said and done so much to turn back now So yep the final stand is in effect now.
The season is definitely building to a big finish, as they all do. It was no big surprise what happened to Simon. I'll miss his smart-ass attitude. We could all see that he was biting off more than he could chew. Feeling nervous for Dwight, too. Looking forward to the finale. Great show, guys.
I’m so excited! S6, 7 and 8 are soap operas with invisible bullets. When the Hilltop unloaded on Simon’s gang with a .50cal nothing happened but the same gun melted the entire Kingdom army in seconds from a tower! Simon and his lackies should be Swiss cheese! Season 2 and 9 are my favorites.
10:10 you guys won't believe how many people watching didn't think it was obvious, people were literally out there sending Josh McDermitt (Eugene) death threats because they hated the character of Eugene that much💀 as you guys said it makes sense to see it like Rosita and Daryl do however I never really stopped believing in Eugene, I was never convinced he actually switched his loyality and knowing how smart and manipulative Eugene is I was sure we've had a big advantage with him being on the inside. This man could fool everybody everything in this episode was absolutely perfect 🤌🏻 the fight between Negan and Simon- damn. Now Negan double crossed both Dwight and Simon🤌🏻🤌🏻 and Michonne actually fulfilling Carl's will and reading Negan the letter was super wholesome. This was just the perfect build up to an amazing season finale🙏🏼

I accidentally spoiled Simons death to my parents when this aired. I didn’t turn off the channel so when talking dead was playing, it showed Simon as a walker.
I wanted Carl to be the one to kill Simon because I thought they were setting it up by having Simon constantly bully him when they had scenes together but this was 100 times better and it shows you that Negan does keep promises to people.
I think Negan reacts the way he does to the letter at the end of the episode because he just witnessed both a revealed "traitor" along with someone who tried to initiate a coup d'etat !!. That along with the fact that he didn't see somone from within his own camp murder Jadis' people makes he feels like he has allowed himself to be weak. What do you guys think ??

So now you know that it was not Negan who decided to off all the men and boys in Oceanside Which is proof enough that Negan sees value in people Problem is as we’ve seen with Simon and Dwight he can’t really control his people that he chose as his close aides which is proof enough that his system is quite flawed and he does not have the perfect authority he thinks he had I think forgiving Simon was for two reasons First of all he already lost a lot of leaders and secondly I think that he wants to see what he does after he has forgiven him Like you’ve noticed yourself compared to other villains we’ve seen he keeps his cards close to his heart playing the fool but he’s always watching and on the ready.

I personally really like Gregory. He's a scumbang and a coward and he's one of the funniest character in my opinion. I exepct him to be awful or do the wrong thing and he never disappoints.

A question for rob and trin, can you guys believe you want someone who brutally murdered both Abraham and glen to make peace? Isn’t it phenomenal what this show can do with its villains? No one feels outright bad, it feels like people making a mix of good and bad decisions based on the stress of the given situation. People who quit this show missed something incredible.
I really enjoyed when Eugene puked on Rosita. Especially after what he ate. I've never really liked Rosita especially when she pretty much Forced Eugene to make that bullit. Then she tried to shoot Negan and the bullet went into Lucille. So it's her fault that Eugene had to go with the Savior's.
The saviors. They tried murdering Sasha Abraham and Daryl on the road. Then were told the saviors wouldn't stop, they witnessed a Hilltop resident in desperation try murdering Gregory to bring them his head in order to free a family member from captivity, and that they also murdered a Hilltop kid.

And the thing that happened in Hiltop was none of their business Rick and Maggie decided to make a deal and get involved
Best in this episode it's the fight between Negan and Simon. I appreciate yours and Trin's reaction and thoughts. But I respectfully disagree because it's not just about Rick there are other community leaders involved. Rick is no angel . Do you really believe Negan would work with everyone. I don't think so . He could have bartered with the communities but he wanted to rule and control by killing and threatening. Simon might of killed Oceanside but their was a kid killed in the kingdom and other things he has done. Do you really believe he could ? This is probably my favorite episode of the season. The whole Negan vs. Simon civil war subplot was the highlight of Season 8 in my opinion.
I thought Big Scary U was the best this season.....there were maybe 3 decent eps this season tho lol

Rick did start it all. The saviors didn't even know Rick and his community existed until Rick killed an entire outpost full of Negans men.

I personally really like Gregory. He's a scumbang and a coward and he's one of the funniest character in my opinion. I exepct him to be awful or do the wrong thing and he never disappoints.

A question for rob and trin, can you guys believe you want someone who brutally murdered both Abraham and glen to make peace? Isn’t it phenomenal what this show can do with its villains? No one feels outright bad, it feels like people making a mix of good and bad decisions based on the stress of the given situation. People who quit this show missed something incredible.

I really enjoyed when Eugene puked on Rosita. Especially after what he ate. I've never really liked Rosita especially when she pretty much Forced Eugene to make that bullit. Then she tried to shoot Negan and the bullet went into Lucille. So it's her fault that Eugene had to go with the Savior's.

The saviors. They tried murdering Sasha Abraham and Daryl on the road. Then were told the saviors wouldn't stop, they witnessed a Hilltop resident in desperation try murdering Gregory to bring them his head in order to free a family member from captivity, and that they also murdered a Hilltop kid.

Best in this episode it's the fight between Negan and Simon. I appreciate yours and Trin's reaction and thoughts. But I respectfully disagree because it's not just about Rick there are other community leaders involved. Rick is no angel . Do you really believe Negan would work with everyone. I don't think so . He could have bartered with the communities but he wanted to rule and control by killing and threatening. Simon might of killed Oceanside but their was a kid killed in the kingdom and other things he has done. Do you really believe he could ? Do you believe the other communities would be alright with that ? Again I ❤ watching yours and Trin's reaction to this and other shows and movies 😊
