For the life of me, I will never understand why you feel the need to drop the ball before you cross the goal line. You've got all the time in the world to celebrate after you make sure you score.
I used to play semi pro football as a running back and wide receiver and I would never drop the ball on purpose. After I made a TD I would hand the ball respectfully to the nearest Referee. It’s a matter of respect and not trying to showboat in my opinion.
And there's me thinking "good job commentators, you didn't use the laziest comment in sports" But with seconds on the clock, there you go, "are you kidding me!".
Is that ray ray mccloud the third you used to punt return for the steelers and just played in the sb and didnt fall on the punt that hit his players heel?
So FSU’s Dalvin Cook fumbling out of bounds…so the Seminoles still keep the ball…in the 2nd quarter while trailing 21-3 is a “blew it” moment??? Kinda dumb, especially since FSU came back to win 45-34. Way to add it to the video🙄

When a ball is thrown, either team has the right to catch it. Often the defense (illegally) grabs or pushes the offense to prevent a catch. But sometimes the offense grabs a defensive player to prevent the pass from being intercepted. FSU #8 could've intercepted the ball, or at least knocked it to the ground, except ND #20 was (illegally) pushing him away.
