It's so strange. He has a great lefty backhand and a great righty forehand, both of which he used interchangeably throughout the whole round, but no lefty forehand or righty backhand.
I’m lefty but I have always thrown a disc/frisbee right handed since I was a little kid so I throw right hand back hand and left hand forehand 😂 so it kinda sucks bc they both fade the same way
At this point, I like JomezPro videos before I even start watching them. My favorite content on the entire internet. EDIT: Please make Idlechillin’ merch. 😂
Chris dickensons performance actually impressed me. He had a rocky start but his putts started to get him back in the game! That just shows you. Take it throw by throw. You can get back in the game! Great performance from all of them!
Zach's best drive all day was on 17. When he lays off the crazy torque move, he's able to place it better. He's got good scrambling skills and short game. Just don't feel like his power gen is helping him score on a course like this.
Put the playback speed to .75 and he’s even better to listen to lmfao. 75x speed @ 5:23 got me lol (I sometimes slow the playback speed of coverage to watch form and angles lol)
Even when watching ambidextrous players, it's pretty odd to see someone switching to their off hand to throw forehands off the tee so many times the way Zach does. I mean I know it's not the same exact thing but righty forehand is pretty similar to lefty backhand. It'd be interesting to hear his thought process.
yea idlewild has to be one of the best competitive courses there is. Its super technical but still has long holes you can rip on but only if you have good control. More courses should be made like this because these open ball golf courses are becomming meh. Its like we get it you can crush 600 ft on a wide open hole but can you put the perfect touch to s out through the woods on a 400ft hole? I feel like weve been slowly losing this side of the game which is a huge reason its so great.
I don't know. Feels like if the sport wants to be serious about being credibly professional something like slickness of teepad shouldn't be a factor when it comes to results. A standard should be set and players have every right to demand it too.
the problem is, the DGPT doesn't control the tee pads. these courses are maintained by local clubs and owners. they can't be expected to finance and produce the work to lay new tee pads every couple years... unless the DGPT has a course maintenance committee that arrives and does that work weeks in advance... it's not gonna happen anytime soon
These and many wooded tee pads get a fine growth of lichen or moss on them. When dry you do not notice but, add rain and slickness is unavoidable. Notice that the open pads were fine. I have played this course over 100 times. Real Pros know all about mossy tees and adjust accordingly.
Hole 13: Slickest, Friction Challenged tee box. Nothing like a triple in the woods, a triple shot, after a triple bogey. Lot on this card joined 'Spile-Drivers Anonymous' after 13, 14, 15... Jerm: Every round, a completely different nightmare...like on that old Elm St movie, but with less street, and more scary Elm relatives.
This course needs a bigger change to the back 9. As a local for all my life and have been to Idlewild countless times, it is absolutely brutal and would love to see some changes. I love how it is considered to be one of the hardest courses and I think y’all can see why!
Not to be nitpicky about the course, but having just assembled 10 of the exact same veteran baskets, they didn't tighten the set screws on the top chain assembly on 18`s basket. That thing is wobbling all over the place.
What a sadistic course. Not only is it incredibly tight, but there is OB everywhere off line. You could take away all of the OB and this would still be a challenging course. I would think an amateur player would probably ruin a driver bouncing off of trees on every round.
OB on a course like this is dumb. Or pretty much any course for that matter (unless it’s for safety reasons). If they go into the woods or the rough just make them play from there. That’s their penalty. And then we get to see more cool creative scramble shots. Make the game more skill than luck. And more interesting and exciting for players and spectators.
I was very confused as well, but I realized they were saying that his drive was in hole 10's fairway. Then he had a great second shot scramble to end up where he was on the next putt

I'm calling 27 under wins it this year. Or causes a playoff
Zach, a lefty. goes RIGHTY FOREHAND ROLLER. and pures it. Kudos.
It's so strange. He has a great lefty backhand and a great righty forehand, both of which he used interchangeably throughout the whole round, but no lefty forehand or righty backhand.
Yeah both his throws have the same spin 🤷♂️
I’m lefty but I have always thrown a disc/frisbee right handed since I was a little kid so I throw right hand back hand and left hand forehand 😂 so it kinda sucks bc they both fade the same way
Chris Dickerson defying physics with throwing in while a plane is flying over. 😂
Someone please put together a sequence of every time Gavin was in the foliage to throw and him getting more and more soaked.
I want a slomez of Gavin's Drives while he is soaked. He just snaps all that water of like a wet dog.

This is a good card to watch. Dedicated disc golfers struggling a bit. These are athletes! This is a truly tough game.
100% the course gives and takes
Uli cracks me up. Always great to have him on coverage
The stomach growl at 3:50 though, that killed me.
"real it in Uli" It had to have been another late night for the crew.
I didn’t even know Peeta Mellark played disc golf. And it turns out, he’s really good!
Oh there you are Peeta!
That's where I recognize that face from!
Chris dickensons performance actually impressed me. He had a rocky start but his putts started to get him back in the game! That just shows you. Take it throw by throw. You can get back in the game! Great performance from all of them!

Yup, when he slows down his control is amazing.
23:32 his full power shots look very goofy haha, limbs everywhere
He’s very young, still got a lot of maturing to do with his decision-making
Chris Dickerson is just casually playing top level disc golf in a bathing suit...
Basically swimming in that humidity
Better attire than dress pants and a polo. Cannot understand the guys that dress business casual, so dumb
That's how we do it!
As opposed to what?
@@shifty1016 the Jake from State Farm uniform lol 😂
*11:46* lmfao the camera guy got hit by that disc. And @ *13:14* wow...his disc caught the edge of that lobbed off branch, and the spin threw it wild
Big Barry Commentary, Big Barry Commentary.
Uli is a comedic genious

Hole 13, Gavin's drive hit the camera man
I was one of the spotters on this hole and that was 100% what happened lol
Came to the comments to look for this. Got smacked 😅
Favorite tourney of the year! Glad the rain didn’t last.

Just a quick note. "Slipperier" is in fact the comparative adjective of "slippery".
"You really have to hit this gap to give yourself a chance..." is a common theme here. :D :D
It is fun to watch players turn this course into Idlechillin. Doesn't happen often, but fun to see it done.
watching the chalk fly off of gavin's hand on his drives is satisfying
I’m so confused if zack is righty forehand or lefty backhand dominant
Yes
Not ideal
I thought the same thing. Had to do a double take
He just really loves the disc finishing right :)
I'm left forehand, righty backhand. It sucks lol
You guys weren't kidding about the front 9 vs back 9.
Glad to see the pros hit as many trees as I do when I play here.
I want to play another round at this course. It ate my lunch and then some last time
As a lefty myself I really enjoyed watching Zach Arlinghaus play!
17:13 Paul: Give this kid a break!. Jerm: No kidding. :-D
I love watching the pros get worked like a muggle 😂
Paul had the funniest energy right off the start of this video 😂😂😂😂😂😂
So good to see the two young guns leading AND both Robinson brothers on first page!
Is Chris wearing swim shorts? Is it THAT humid?

Loving the coverage!

So is there a standard for tournament baskets I.e., number of chain links, weight of chains,?
lol big Jerm give Paul a break you guys always have me enjoying the show and Gavin keep it up bro you’re killing it!
We will go with slipperier
How did they chose this Feaure Card?
probably last card out
Zach looks like the 'I like turtles' kid grown up a bit.
So Arlinghaus has LHBH and RHFH, but no left-fading shots?
5:24 "Down right is bad" and down bad is right ;)
Missing what Sexton brings to the commentary. His descriptions of layouts and the plays are second to none.
Not going to lie this was hard to watch!
Congrats to Chris on his bathing suit sponsorship!
I think Gavin must have set a record in this round for number of putts that didn't go in but sounded like they did.
Zach arlinghaus did not get enough credit for saving par on 11
I watch a ton of JomezPro event coverage videos...this one, this card felt friggin' cursed.

Uli was chopped up in this I love it
Is it just me or does zach look like frieza when he gets that mean focus before he throws..... thoroughly enjoyed coverage as always
Huge eagle by Chris on 16!
Gannons got that brp ace boosting his confidence, he’s winning this weekend
Not to be nitpicky about the course, but having just assembled 10 of the exact same veteran baskets, they didn't tighten the set screws on the top chain assembly on 18`s basket. That thing is wobbling all over the place.
I genuinely don’t understand why it’s too hard to have someone go threw and make sure the baskets are tights and the teepads aren’t bare
I wish I could play Idlechillin
Paul is seriously high
I'm just here for the girl in the pro shop commercial 😀
Was looking for a comment like this one, cause she is stunning 😍
Oh my heart, hole 13 was so painful to watch
Why does Dickerson throw DGA discs?
because he can?
Kind of a bummer they don’t use the artificial green on 14 anymore. I love those touches about idlewild
Yeah, but the hole is less flukey and much safer for the players. A hell of a walk to the next hole.
30:29 Roadrunner birb?
Is Woody Harrelson Zach’s dad? They look similar
Marwede crazy🔥
Think you mean chris
Pretty hard to compete at the top level when you can’t throw a shot that goes left
27 under I think will win it this year or it will be a playoff.
What a sadistic course. Not only is it incredibly tight, but there is OB everywhere off line. You could take away all of the OB and this would still be a challenging course. I would think an amateur player would probably ruin a driver bouncing off of trees on every round.
Oh my gosh Andrew was absolutely shredding. Sucks to see where he is after round 2..
Big Barri Commentary
So just how ambidextrous is Zach?
Just finished front nine, was starting to cry, then got this notification
Who knew Harry Mack could throw plastic!
What’s the point of being a lefty backhand and righty forehand player?
Stand still and try both.
Is Dickenson wearing swimming trunks?
Veteran baskets are becoming a sour spot on tour, please replace them DGPT!
?
?
That got put in the week before tour 😂
Uli is faded
slipperier and slipperiest are both words
slipperier is a word JERM quit dawgin yr boy
Anyone else think Zack looks like a little woody harrelson
Just said the same to my son. Mix in a little young Eric Stolz (sp?).
It’s definitely not called idleCHILLIN lmao
Someones stomach growling at 3:53? 😆
So is Zach ambidextrous? I see him throwing righty forehands
No. He's just throwing with both arms.
B I G B E R R Y C O M M E N T A R Y
👽
I think Chris should get rid of that baseball hat and get himself a coonskin cap.
Idlechillinnn lol
29:32 did big Jerm just swear lol
No.
?
0:58 Thanks for the milk bath Paul. I'm so upset with you right now.
let's go! James Conrad time for R2! :)
😎
Idlemild
That is Idlewild with zero OB creeks. Too easy.
Did your follow flight guy get lazy? It seems theres almost never any follow flights anymore and gavins drive on 11 definitely deserved one.
OB on a course like this is dumb. Or pretty much any course for that matter (unless it’s for safety reasons). If they go into the woods or the rough just make them play from there. “Bigbarri commentary”
Jerm’s tall-guy-who-throws-side-arm crush on Andrew marwede is awkward. Like I’m surprised his wife doesn’t get jealous.
That band on 18 is vicious. oof.
What happened on hole 11? ZA’s second shot is so far off, he’s “in hole 10’s fairway”. Then he’s putting for par?
I was very confused as well, but I realized they were saying that his drive was in hole 10's fairway. Then he had a great second shot scramble to end up where he was on the next putt
Am I the only person who’s seeing Zach throw backhand lefty and forehand righty?!?? Makes no sense to do that if you think about it
one of my friends does this and he blames baseball. love giving him shit for it
literally everyone watching this sees that
How are we not even going to mention Zach Arlinghaus being a beast throwing LHBH and RHFH? Big missed opportunity by Jomez there.
Course is a bit too much like mini putt
Yeah hes getting wrecked lmao
