" Virtual Battle of The Bands - Season 1: Terms, Conditions, and Guidelines"
Participation:
• Open to all, without age restrictions. Participants under 18 should provide a soft or hard copy of a declaration from parents/guardians, ensuring that participation doesn't impact studies and is done with their consent.
• All genres of music are welcome.
Code of Conduct & Content Restrictions:
• Participants are expected to adhere to a standard of decency - Inappropriate content or behavior Inappropriate content or behavior may result in disqualification.
• Use of vulgar language, inappropriate signs, and body language, as well as the presence of alcohol and smoke, is strictly prohibited - and may result in disqualification.
Band Composition:
• A minimum of three members is required, with at least one member specializing in drums, cajon, or a percussion instrument. (Cajon, Congo, Bongo, Djembe, Tabla, Maadal and other variety of drums)
Evaluation Criteria:
• Judging will encompass a comprehensive assessment, taking into account musicality, technical proficiency, stage presence, creativity, and other pertinent elements.
Judging Panel:
• Our judging panel is a diverse group of experts, each bringing unique insights into different facets of music. The identities and credentials of the judges will be transparently disclosed.
Prizes and Awards:
• First place: NPR 3 lacs, Second place: NPR 2 lacs and Third place: NPR 1 lac
• Individual prizes, with specific categories to be announced.
o Prize amounts are subject to modification only in the event of unforeseen circumstances or funding adjustments.
Media Guidelines:
• Ensure video quality is at least 1080p @24FPS (uncompressed) to max 4K@60FPS , in a commonly accepted format (e.g., MP4, MOV)
• Compressed videos through social media such as WhatsApp, Telegram etc. not allowed.
• Print and use the provided VBTOB logo in A4 size paper. Incorporate the VBOTB official logo visibly during recording.
• Submitted videos become the property of VBOTB and cannot be reposted on any social media or web platform. Screenshots and photos are permitted for promotion using #vbotb.
• Videos are eligible for reuse 90 days after the conclusion of the entire show.
• Strictly refrain from any post-production audio treatments; violation will result in disqualification.
Event Schedule and Requirements:
• 1st Round (Entry): Showcase any song of your choice with direct & raw audio and video.
o All bands to perform, adhering to terms, conditions and guidelines
o Top 20 will advance to the next round (Rendition Round)
• 2nd Round (Rendition): Display your unique style by performing a cover song with direct & raw audio and video.
o Top 20 bands to perform, chosen by the panel of judges adhering to terms, conditions and guidelines
o Top 10 will advance to the next round (Semi Final)
• 3rd Round (Semi-Final): Present an original song; multi-track recording is permitted, but submit the raw multi-audio track as proof.
o Top 10 bands to perform, chosen by the panel of judges adhering to terms, conditions and guidelines.
o Top 5 will advance to the next round (Grand Final)
• Grand Final of VBOTB Season 1: Conclude the competition by performing one cover song (rendition) and one original song. Multi-track recording is permitted, but submit the raw multi-audio track as proof.
o Top 5 bands will participate in the Grand Final- chosen by the panel of judges adhering to terms, conditions and guidelines in the previous round.
Modifications to Terms:
• The organizers retain the right to modify or update these terms and conditions if deemed necessary.
Agreement:
• By submitting the entry form, participants express their commitment to comply with these terms and conditions.
