In writing classes when you hit a writer's block, I've always had teachers encourage you to write with the less dominant hand to force your brain to think differently. This is the same idea just with more of Daniel's butt in the air.

Yeah i find that people always forget about different angles. This is a nice challenge to help with creative angles. Yeah i'm definitely giving this a go
That Brown Guy so totally agree with you. Ever since I've been getting more serious with my photography, I feel like I just constantly have to make my photos straight, lining them up with buildings, centering my models perfectly in my photos, etc.

This is fantastic. It's funny how constraints work. I was just writing recently about a professor, Page Moreau, who found people got a lot more creative as soon as they were given a couple constraints to things they were designing. Was also reminded of this when watching the new show on HBO Room 104. The entire series is just different episodes taking place in the same exact motel room. No external shots. No fancy set dressings. Bland hotel room. And the characters are forced to change each time. Really neat example of constraints making this TV show more creative.

Hahah, there's really only one tip -- and that's this: putting a limitation on yourself forces your brain to be creative. These actual restrictions probably won't make anyone's photos better to be clear.

Hello, I really like your videos, They are very inspiring.
Awesome video! I like to constantly add creative constraints to myself. I find myself trying to be too perfect for projects, so I decided to make myself perform under unideal circumstances to blast out that creativeness. I have a video challenge that I was thinking of doing that I'll make live before the end of the year. I'll post it here probably to see what you can do with it!
This video goes beyond other tutorial videos. It was extremely helpful and pleasing to watch. I feel as though I have become a better photographer just by watching the fist minute of this video. Thank you guys. One video I would like to see is how you guys edit. Not like you exact process because that is a sacred part of each photographers ritual but maybe just like a basic tutorial on color grading and using tone cures. Thanks so much!

Shooting on your stomach actually looks like a good idea haha. Shooting full manual is a challenge but well worth it! My rokinon 85 1.4 is my favorite lens and it full manual
