One time, years ago, I saw a midnight movie (they’re all old films for fun) of _The Neverending Story_ and I was whispering to my friend about the film and someone shushed me. I was stunned- we were all there because we’re fans; you don’t go to see film at a midnight showing for the first time. Anyways, I still obliged and didn’t talk anymore because I _was_ technically being rude; I was just stunned because usually midnight movies are for huge fans and we’ve all already seen it so it’s more about the community experience than watching the film.
@@simplicitylost OK midnight screenings are different because you would think that everyone has seen the movie before. My favorite is The Room, where everyone shouts, yells, throw spoons at the screen, throw football at each other, etc.
