This version is just incredible. Vocals, drums, killer guitars. Perfect. All sounded great ! Matt Whoriskey's solo is really tough to play and he killed it.
They play well and good vocals . Philip's pieces are beautiful and noteworthy . Philip is certainly happy that young people play his songs . That they remember . 🤘

Correct. The director of this team would give the musicians a Spotify playlist of chosen live versions, if they exist, and then the young musicians would learn their parts on their own. Believe it or not, they only get together for 2 and 1/2 days to practice as a group before starting the tour.

I love it ... love Thin Lizzy and this song means so much to me ... Thank you ...... although I have to say I feel a wee bit sorry for the Bassist. Phil Lynott played the bass & wrote songs with prominent driving bass lines ... this guy does a fine job but hardly appears on camera compared to the remainder of the band .... still love it though ....
Sorry. I can only assume the bass was too loud on stage and the sound engineer didn't put much into my feed. I am literally moving from player to player, trying to capture everyone - the handheld camera feed looks like I strapped it to the head of a particularly excitable puppy. In the meantime, I'm recalling what my main cameras are capturing and shooting to counter that.

All I was saying was that all the other members of the band had the camera focus on them for much more time than the bassist ... especially when he was owning that bass line ...

I saw Thin Lizzy in the early 70s in Liverpool, Phil asked the audience if there was any of the girls had any Irish in them?..being in Liverpool most of the girls waved and screamed...he then asked them "do ya want a bit more Irish in yA"
These children are good! The guitar solo is really close except he doesn't do the palm mutes... :( Having said that, I LOATHE the concept of School of Rock. I hated the movie, and then when they started charging people to play in cover bands it made me sick. PLEASE help me eliminate it so people put up ads for musicians in music stores like they're supposed to.
Paul Green started the School of Rock long before Hollywood ripped off his life story to make the Jack Black movie. He had been teaching kids in the traditional, one-on-one way, and he asked a few of them to get together on a Saturday to jam, and they were terrible. At that point, he decided to reinvent his teaching method so that everybody would be in a band right from the very beginning. The school provides the things that young musicians most need, a place to practice, a time to practice, other musicians to practice with and excellent teachers.
Unfortunately, all I get is a stereo feed that goes to the speakers. I'd have to get a multitrack from the soundboard, and do my own mix, which just wasn't possible. I literally shot multiple concerts in a single week, traveling hundreds of miles between shows.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 It sounds pretty good for what you did here. He could have adjusted his own levels to sound better out of the house, as well as his picking intensity. You did everything you could, the kids got talent as well, he just needed to play it with some more feeling. Great song, good performance, I'm just a bass player heavily influenced by Lynott so I'm nit picking 😅

Gonna be honest, the lead guitarrist surprised me with that solo. Didn't expect too much but he pulled it off flawlessly.
