Pauly is pretty down to earth now. I saw him at KC Joe’s (Kansas BBQ joint) and he sat right behind me and when I heard his voice I knew immediately who he was. It turns out he was doing a show there. What saddens me is that noone knew who he was but I’m sure he was happy not to have anyone ask for pictures. I didn’t ask or bother him while he was having dinner but I overheard his conversations (he talks rly loud) and you can tell he has matured a lot and not the same

Only made $40 million at the box office? That’s significantly higher by today’s standards because it was back in 1992, and huge multi hundred million dollar budget films bring in less today when they “flop,” so that’s extremely impressive if those numbers are true of how much this movie made even before it’s home video release 30+ years ago!

The Comedy Club that Pauly's parents ran years ago made most of the stars we have today such as Tom Hanks and Roseanne, Jim Carey., Cheech and Chong, and yes Kevin Hart, the list goes on and on . Comedy is his life

We were on a field trip in high school to D.C. and saw Pauly Shore, and (cringe) my classmates wanted autographs while he was eating lunch with a friend eek..but he was so kind and gracious and signed for all of them. We are from a small town and it was one of our first celebrity sightings 😂😂

I don't care what it says about me, but two of my favorite movies ever are Encino Man and Bio Dome. Pauly shore is a delight! I'm so happy he's still around. I would LOVE it if they did a reunion! (Even though Sean Astin didn't have very nice things to say about the movie in his book!)

Sean Astin put it perfectly in his tweet about Ke and I think it applies to all of them from that comedic era. They don't make them like that anymore, well mostly.

I met Pauly a few months ago. He is very gracious and accommodating to his fans. He truly takes every encounter with them seriously and doesn't give off an air of celebrity superiority like someone who has been in show business for as long as he has. I'm a life long fan of the man and also the comedian and actor, but mainly a fan of his as a person. So happy to have met him

The fashion in that one short clip of Encino Man is wild; the guy wearing a fedora and white overalls with one strap hanging off, Brendan's vest, the insane amount of pens in Ke Huy's pocket, Paulie's scarf...

I interviewed Pauly back in 2003 for an independent magazine a friend and I ran for a few years. He was a cool guy and after the interview we talked for a while and took down some Mickey's Bigmouth.
He wasn't as zany as his characters, obviously, but you could just see them on the verge of coming out to say hi lol.
    Keep rockin', Pauly.

Pauly Shore is the good kind of weird. He's been in the game long enough to know when to let things roll off his back. He's a through and through funny guy and he appreciates that not all jokes are made with meanness or ill intent. I'm glad he and Brendan and Ke and Sean are all still friends. Long live the Weasel and Goonies never say die!
