Hi I love your videos. I play number 8 so I don't really know what to tell you other than love the drop goal attempt you should do more of them. Good communication with your line. ❤
I played 15 most of my rugby life here in New Zealand so I'm loving this format. No coaching advice other than keep up the vocals, you and 9 are the ones who should be the ones chatting, you're the ones who can see the most. 9 for the forwards, 15 for the backs. Love it.
@@rugbyexpomedia yeah it is, so much fun. You can insert yourself anywhere... but also pretty stressful at times. I always felt guilty for the running tries the other team scored. I learnt to tell myself "you can't be everywhere dude". It helps a lot if 11 and 14 are good at their jobs and know when to drop back and cover. The outside backs should be a 3 man team... really a 4 man team with a good 13.
Could you edit a video of a compilation of your best tackles? I want to become better at tackling in the backline and seeing POV how you line up the tackles would be huge.
You guys as a team move the ball around exceptionally well, it's making that blitz defence really struggle and it's clear you have all spent a lot of time drilling that. The mistakes I see are all largely down to execution, which is something you will always be improving on during training and the vast majority of the time you see the mistakes and call them out yourself anyway. While execution is something that can be drilled, vision is something that can't and largely comes from experience. You show fantastic vision at times, spotting gaps and opportunities in attack and even that first failed drop goal attempt was great just let down by the execution. I also have to point out the excellent 2 man pod on the other team that turned you over in the ruck, that was lovely to watch! You are clearly playing at a very good level at this point, keep doing what you're doing man and you will go from strength to strength!
@rugbyexpomedia Thank you for making these videos and spreading the greatest game on earth across the pond! Would love to play over in the states at some point! Perhaps I could try get a tour arranged for my team at some point.
I love that I found your channel earlier this year. Keep up the good work. Would love to see you grow, and maybe guest-play for a couple of MLR teams, even if just for their practice runs. Hope that's a possibility one day. It's a different kind of promotion of the sport we love, and I'm sure it gets more people into it without you realizing.
Love the channel man, only tip I would have is when you make those breaks and you're trying to fix the last man, you want to put some footwork in and step away from your support before the pass. That way the fullback has to decide to tackle you or at least puts a bit of doubt in his mind. If you start drifting towards your support before the pass its easy for them to follow it and get to the man.
i played 15 during my early career until i had to force retired due to knee injury. yes you have to be more vocal for your backs and don't make unnecessary pass if you could hit it. listen to your number 9 as well if he give any sort if direction or system. dont make your other players confuse.well that's whatmy coach from South Africa teached me before. overall well played my guy! hope to see you more success in the future especially with your channel
Just a bit of advice for safety in rucks use one hand to protect ur head and another to present the ball. But overall ur crazy bro keep up the good work
I am so impressed by the level of rugby you guys are playing at club level in America, I think your team would be competitive at a club level here in rugby nations like South Africa. Your set plays from a scrum where the backline moves the ball from depth is awesome to see. Lekker running rugby. One small area I think you guys can improve on is your forward pods off a ruck are too shallow, most of the time the forwards receive the ball when they are standing still and only accelerate once they get the ball which gives the defence time to gain a couple of meters. My suggestion would be that they stand a few meters deeper and receive the ball from the scrumhalf when they have momentum, around the same area they are receiving the ball now but the difference is the forward pod would have some momentum going forward. The opposition defence will compensate by committing two or 3 guys in the tackle off that pod which will open up the backline for the backs to run from depth. Small adjustment that I recon will open the game up nicely for your fire backline. Thanks for the lekker videos.
When i started playing for my highschool i was b bench cuz i have skinny and weak i was 9 i started hitting the gym and became a flank now im a starting
One thing your boys need to start doing on defence is to not give the first receiver (mostly the flyhalf) time to make a play. The line speed was a little slow in this one
It’s nice to see you play but the tackles are usually grabbing someone back but just try to wrap around their legs even if they are bigger they will go down this will minimize bump offs also try diving for the try if someone is chasing close
Do ye practise any wrap arounds or switches? i've watched plenty of your american rugby games and defenses seem very focused on straight up defending as in man on man which suggests that making a bit of space through the afore mentioned could free up space and be beneficial

Great game big win for you guys only tip is to go in between the outside-senter and the wing on the last bit of the line.Keep up the good work.
