I normally do this but I also like taking a break, cutting out all the hats and using the different hats as one shots for variation. Who doesn't love 16 levels for high hats or horn stabs.
Age old argument 😁 I feel like there is a lot less control with just one single pad so I’ve always used 16 levels. It may be easier on other samplers I guess
