if one believes infy goes up, he can buy the call option of the infy to lock the price of it for some time or he can sell the put (as his view point is raise in the price). so even if it goes against his assumption, it mayn't go adversely.
if the stock is falling drastically from the present price, then he should revisit the market or his fundamentals again to avoid this kind of repetitions
