I was just at Gilboa yesterday and the water temp felt great, a dash on the silted up side. But other than that I was able to buddy up with another solo diver and paired up with a family of 3.
Was a great day of diving for dives 27 and 28

The dive buddy that I made yesterday, him and I are going to meet up this coming Sunday and practice our SMB deploying skills and I'm wanting to practice more for my Nav testing and at some point want to gain more exp with the deep dive for my SSI testing at the end of July

At 105 feet you have surpassed "Recreational Dive Level" and into technical diving.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the story behind this scene? Was this formerly a dry location, flooded to create a lake or dam? Or is just like an art installation or just some humorous landmark left by others who have dived to this point? Obviously I know that the sunbathing couple are staged and are false skeletons. Especially seeing as they are zip-tied to their lounge chairs.
Again, sorry that I don't know the details, but I am curious though.
Thanks for the cool look into a place I can never see in real life. Well, I could see it only once... (as I can't swim. I can only sink. So the happy couple would have a permanent unwanted intruder on their date, if I decided to visit them. )

Quarries were used to extract minerals from the earth. Now that many of them are abandoned, some of them were filled with water for scuba divers to use as man-made lakes. A lot of quarries will sink things like cars, busses, keys, helicopters, etc to make it more interesting.
In this scene, near the bottom of the quarry they set up a scene with a fast food chain mascot and a couple skeletons sun bathing. Makes for a fun landmark when you are descending the path down to the bottom
