We are not going to beat you in a stand up fight, but we can put almost anything anywhere in the world before you even know its there.
In regards to a straight up fight, The Battle of Long Tan earned Australia's military a reputation not easily overlooked. 108 men held off and won against over 2000 Viet Cong troops during the Vietnam war. We didn't win Gallipoli in WW1, but our troops certainly did a solid job of holding the line for a long time against the worst possible odds. We may not have the advanced technology of the US military, nor the numbers, but our armed forces definitely aren't wimps, and in the right circumstances we certainly could win a stand up fight if it was a down in the mud soldier to soldier trading bullets type of battle.
U.S. needs to land here for their tanks to be of any use. During WWII Darwin we held off japanese with a small platoon and mostly civilians. Hey man, congrats on the new baby! Your videos keep on popping up on my feed and I love your down to earth personality! You’d fit right in down under - hope you and your wife are enjoying this very special time!
This video is very old and so the numbers for Australia have grown a lot, especially what we have on order like nuclear submarines and custom built unmanned aircraft (look up Wingman) It also fails to account for the many many allies Australia has and the harsh coastline and terrain that would make invading very difficult. Another fact not covered is the training, I've heard a lot of soldiers say that the Aussies are the best trained they've ever seen, some vets on TH-cam even claiming a single Aussie soldier is on par or better than a US Marine. Interesting thing is the we are normally side by side in the battlefield and it's not uncommon for our special forces to be in an area doing their thing and softening up the enemy for the u.s. to waltz in easily once we've finished our part.
Given that we'd be fighting for our own country (which always makes a defending army much more determined), any Australian soldier is worth about 8 Americans (this isn't actually that far from the truth - ask anyone who has been in combat how tough the Aussies are), and we could call on a battalion of emus at any given time I reckon it would be a pretty even contest (Aussies are some of the best fighting men and women on the planet and we stood no chance against the emus, it wasn't even close). And that's without taking into account the unmeasurable knowledge and experience our indigenous people have of the terrain and environment and how much of an advantage this would be. The Yanks would basically have to roll out the nukes, and even then I'm not sure nukes would have much effect on the emus - they are literally bulletproof (ask us how we know, lol). We may not be able to win in a straight fight, but we could make it so so inconvenient and impractical that the yanks would throw in the towel, just like they did in Afghanistan and Vietnam (ZING!!).
All we'd have to do is eliminate Pine Gap and the USA's military would be blinded to a very large portion of the planet, covering all of Australia, NZ, Asia including India, the middle east and most of Russia, so yeah, we don't really want to upset the USA because their military is mighty, but they don't want to upset us either, because it would be far too easy for us to turn off the lights and leave them completely in the dark against pretty much every nation on the planet that they spy on and/or have issues with.
There is no air defence in the world nor is there a non-american plane that is capable of intercepting the B2 stealth bombers so Australia would struggle to do anything. Additionally the few cutting edge systems they do have will be spread over that huge territory making them pretty useless for Americas stealth figthers.
I love how he forgot to mention that we are apart of the Union Jack, this meaning that country’s like New Zealand, and the uk will fight with us. This is not talking about all the islands too, it’s just a major factor that wasn’t mentioned.
Congratulations on the birth of your son .. he’s gorgeous. There’s no comparison between the two countries, of course USA would reign supreme unless we unleashed all of our deadliest animals on you
Can you please react to Australian defence force videos vs American ? You’ll see that Australians are always having a laugh, and this is what we call “mateship”
No, having a laugh or a joke especially during life threatening situations is called larrikinism. Mateship is something wholly different, it’s ripping in and getting the job done, regardless of the circumstances because you don’t want to let your mates down.
ANZUS treaty is a huge reason why we don't need to spend big on equipment. Loads of our budget goes into SF units for special operations. Our units are top tier technical operators rather than large scale warfare ready. Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan we sent many technical groups that capture high profile targets. Also in Iraq SASR were on the ground disabling Iraqs air dense systems two weeks before giving the US the green light for the bagdad bombing raid. First actual boots on the ground and same in Afghanistan.
Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Jase will certainly grow up with loving and caring parents. He will gain so much on your outlook of life. Keep it up mate.

I doubt it! We're just not interested in global domination & wasting our taxes on unnecessary military spending. We really can't be taken even with what we have, cause of allies & remoteness & fighting spirit. Equipment & personnel numbers really don't tell the story
Back in the day, during WW2 , when US servicemen came to town on RnR or deployment we would often meet them en mass at the local watering holes to discuss international ethics and diplomacy, social and sexual etiquette etc. Physical violence was always used as punctuation and when the punching subsided the drinking began and many friendships were born.
Congratulations to you both on the birth of your baby boy 🌟 The USA , Australia and the UK signed a 'security partnership' last year , called AUKUS.....
Congratulations he is gorgeous!!!!!!!! 🎊🎊🎊🎊♥️🖤♥️🖤🎊🇦🇺 We would totally win. We are constantly just not dying from the wildlife so we are tough. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Congrats Ryan to you and your wife, your baby boy is absolutely precious, gorgeous and a miracle of life; all the best for an awesome and amazing future.
Congrats on the arrival of your beautiful baby boy, such a sweetie pie! Due America’s population of 330 million there’s no way Australia with only 25 million people can compete military. Yet from the Boer War in South Africa in 1899 helping the British through to Afghanistan in 2022 Aussies have always contributed with helping our Allies. I believe the US should spend less money on helping the military industrial complexes from getting richer and use some of the money instead on universal healthcare for its own citizens, as well as improving poverty outcomes for the most vulnerable people in America. The fact the US spends more money on their military than the next 10 countries combined speaks volumes.
One thing this video got wrong was the aircraft carriers. HMAS Adelaide, and HMAS Canberra are LHDs not traditional aircraft carriers, they're designed for helicopters, rather than carrier based fighters/bombers etc. They'll carry stuff like the Taipan, Chinook, Blackhawk, Seahawk etc. They've got six spots for medium heli's on deck, and two medium sized elevators, with the aft elevator able to take chinooks. Theyve got a vehicle deck which can be used for helicopters also, for a max of 18 medium heli's aboard. Or alternatively, they can ship about 100 vehicles at a time.
Wow Ryan, he's so beautiful and tiny congrats you will be a great father. Now how can I send you a present from Australia for your little bundle of joy Jase.
It's a ludicrous proposition - hands down, USA wins every time. BUT, USA citizens and Australian citizens have an awful lot in common, arising out of our strong bonds established through war. starting with World War 1 and our common belief in democracy. A better proposition would be to ask how well we mesh with each other. To that end, Australia and the United States, along with other alliance partners in the region have been running joint military exercises in the pacific region for decades. The ANZUS pact is regarded as one of the strongest existing such alliances because of our common cause; you may be funny buggers at times, but you are our mates!
A huge congratulations you you both on the birth of your little one. He is beautiful. I wish you all the best for your future. Much love from Australia 💖💖
Not many countries can stand up to the US in a direct fight. However the US has shown itself to be too heavily reliant on its equipment. It might be able to take Australia in an initial invasion but I don’t believe it could hold it indefinitely. Like in Afghanistan US troops would face a highly motivated indigenous population who’d be able to use an inhospitable environment that they are familiar with to continually harass the invading force. Trying to maintain supply lines over such large distances while being harassed by motivated mobil militias would be a major problem just to name one. Bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better, that has often been the Achilles heel of the US.
Congratulations Ryan and partner. Jace is absolutely gorgeous and so cute. He may even grow to be a good looker like his ol' man 😂. Us Aussies can only hope that when Jace grows up he says emu ( eeem-you ) not dads bad habit of eemoo 😳😅🤦♀️ he'll learn our Aussie lingo yet... 'WE HOPE' hahaha, we haven't given up 😁 Anyhow Ryan hope you feel better soon... you're a lovable character and we love your sense of humour. Your reactions put a smile on our faces with every clip. Congratulations to you & your wife on the safe arrival of your baby boy, bet life gets a tad crazy for awhile. Best wishes from Adelaide; South Australia🇦🇺💐
Congratulations on the birth of your son! Very adorable! Now, you should know by now, us Aussies don't need all those tanks, MLRS etc cause you know, the moment the enemy sets foot on our soil, the poisonous spiders, snakes and many other deadly animals are likely to get you first! 🤣🤣
Congrats to you and your wife for the Beautiful baby! America is the biggest police and military state in the world, BY FAR! The NYPD has a bigger budget than most countries have on their actual army. The irony of “the land of the free” is the US makes up 25% of the prison population in the whole world! People are mad about Brittany Garner in Russia but longer sentences are happening in the US for small amounts of possession. You need to check out “Why the Aussie Accent is so Hard | Did You Know?” It’s a great watch and you’ll improve your accent after wtaching
Ryan, you and your wife have a beautiful son. Congratulations. I know this video is about who is stronger militarily, but I reckon it actually highlights that diplomacy trumps (not Donald) aggression. Australia could never win a war against any major power by themselves, including America. Thankfully that will never happen. However, if America would stop invading countries based on their specific economic interests, then perhaps everyone could stop spending so much on weapons and direct the money toward health care and such. America could, at a whim, defeat Australia militarily. But should you invade, you will find nothing but comfy beds and compliant people. The people would be just like last time in World War Two (or like the colonization that is currently happening). I hope you have a beautiful time with your new son. May I pass on sympathy to your partner for all the sleep she is about to lose.
Congratulations to you both on the birth of your son… teach him about Australia and other countries in Europe. There’s a big world outside the US…! Once Jace is older, it’s time for a vacation down under. Our military have a secret weapon… an alliance with the emus, they will help us defeat any invading army. 😄

the most drawn-out war will be in Australia if ww3 ever happens.
I came from the dream-time
From the dusty red-soil plains
I am the ancient heart
The keeper of the flame
I stood upon the rocky shores
I watched the tall ships come
For forty thousand years I've been
The first Australian
I came upon the prison ship
Bowed down by iron chains
I fought the land, endured the lash
And waited for the rains
I'm a settler, I'm a farmer's wife
On a dry and barren run
A convict, then a free man
I became Australian
I'm the daughter of a digger
Who sought the mother lode
The girl became a woman
On the long and dusty road
I'm a child of the Depression
I saw the good times come
I'm a bushie, I'm a battler
I am Australian
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We'll share a dream and sing with one voice
"I am, you are, we are Australian"
I'm a teller of stories
I'm a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira
And I paint the ghostly gums
I'm Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
I am Australian
I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
I am the rock, I am the sky
The rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land
I am Australian
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We'll share a dream and sing with one voice
"I am, you are, we are Australian"
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We'll share a dream and sing with one voice
"I am, you are, we are Australian"
"I am, you are, we are Australian"

Ever heard of the phrase "you snooze you lose"..... believe it or not U.S.A. can't afford to snooze.
Congratulations to you both on the birth of your son. When he gets a little older you should bring him to Oz for a visit.
The reason the US can spend more on military than Australia is their population is greater therefore a hell of a lot more money in taxes.
And their health system spend is so pitifully low, that their citizens either go bankrupt trying to get well if they fall ill, or they die trying.
Congratulations, you have just achieved something truly great. Welcome to the world, little one!
America can’t beat the emus
No one can beat the emus. Even the most advanced aliens wouldn’t dare try.
They forgot one thing in the video, we’re friends with the emus now;
Like to see your equipment beat that.
Other than that, great vid Ryan!!
Happy birth-day to your son and congratulations to you and your wife.
Awwww .... Precious! How proud you look! 😍 Congrats to you and your wife! He is adorable! 👶🥳🥰
Awww. Congratulations to all of you! ❤️

At 6:42 minutes, the info graph indicates Australia as red but has missed Tasmania as this is coloured blue. WHY??????
It always happens lol 😆
Dear Ryan, congratulations on the birth of your son. I hope he grows up to be like The Kid in Kevin Wilson’s song of the same name.
We'll never go to war except together!
America is like our big brother ♡
Careful with that.
@@valsyaranamual6853 Hmmmm? Something to think about!
Ooo, congrats to you and your wife. He is gorgeous
Oh wow! Congratulations to you both! What a blessing 😊
Congratulations! What a cute little dude! Enjoy all the milestones
The USA has developed an aversion to unnecessarily destroying civilian structures and killing civilians. That could change....
CONGRATULATIONS TO MUMMY N DADDY SO HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH!!!! Jace is adorable such a handsome little baby boy All the very best for the future to all...
'WE HOPE' hahaha, we haven't given up 😁
Anyhow Ryan hope you feel better soon... you're a lovable character and we love your sense of humour. Your reactions put a smile on our faces with every clip. You never know "happy arvo" might even catch on here down under 🤭😂.....
❤ to your new beautiful family from all of your Aussie mates 🇦🇺🤗🦘🐨
Thank you so much!! Means a lot to me and my family
Big congrats Daddy!!!
Congratulations to you & your wife on the safe arrival of your baby boy, bet life gets a tad crazy for awhile. Best wishes from Adelaide; South Australia🇦🇺💐
Congratulations to you and your wife 💞💞🇭🇲🇭🇲
Super cute baby boy. Congratulations. Glad to hear the yanks are our friends. Didn’t think we would win
And still git paid less and no training
Ryan happy arvo congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of your son.Bring them all to oz I will buy you a schooner g
Australian troops are trained for guerilla warfare and can utilize as much of our terrain as possible
Congratulations mate. You’ll have to bring your family to Australia when your son is a little older.
Congratulations!! Love it!
First video I’ve been early to, I have to say it ‘I’m an Aussie’ and I’m from Adelaide and moved to the south east, I’m actually on a bus right now and just saw a pile of kangaroos 🇦🇺not emus but yknow
Few weeks ago we had B 2 stealth bombers arrive in Australia
They're not exactly stealth in Australia. Radar invented in Australia picks them up as easily as a 747
