Glenda, please don't apologize! I personally do not care if you chose to do samples using the same yarn (regardless of the color). I LOVE that you took a colorway and showed different stitch patterns. It is crazy how the same color looks so different depending on the stitch. I have skeins in my stash that I purchased for different projects that stopped doing because I didn't like the stitch. You and Cody have inspired me to take the yarn and just try a different stitch pattern until I find one that compliments/showcases the stitches and yarn better. Thank you both 💚

So I 100% have some Ice Cream on my shelf and want to do something with it AND have no idea how I missed it but didn’t know you had already done a video like this for Ice Cream so I am super happy to see this video this morning❣ I usually end up doing granny squares or sunburst squares for years I love the colors for but have no ideas for it-I just like it. It’s always worked out for me. Also, as a mom of teens who still does a lot of driving and sitting in the car, gyms, fields etc, it’s very easy to take with me. Loved seeing the samples, so helpful to see all the ways!!!

I think I like the granny Square best come because of how I know it will look as it gets bigger. I also like the same one that LINDA liked. My brand ice cream yarns make wonderful baby blankets. The cards are always so pretty and the yard is nice and soft.
Thank you for this comparison, and especially for the long ripple and moss stitch swatches. It gave a great view of how the colors worked together and pooled, which you’d never get from a smaller sample. And I loved that granny square, it would be a beautiful one-square blanket!

This video was super-helpful. Granny square, scarf width, and the blanket widths of various sizes--so helpful! Now I know how to test a self striping yarn for a specific project. THNAK YOU! Sorry Cody- you'll have to do all the tests this way!
I like the granny square sample best. I do lots of continuous granny blankets. I enjoy seeing how variegated and stripe yarns work up. Love the yarn color!
In my opinion all of those samples and stitches are very pretty .my favorite ir the ripple .I'm definitely going to make my first ripple for my adult grandsons .
Ice Cream yarn is fun to work with! Personally, I like the look of the moss stitch but maybe with a smaller stitch count or alternating skeins to keep it mixed up rather than pooling...
I so enjoy seeing new stitches to make one day! Will have to check out this yarn, nice colors! I find the Prim Rose stitch sample lovely for a scarf…mmm… inspiration for next scarf! Great job 😊

I love seeing the stitch comparisons! I make scarves for deployed soldiers, so the color/pattern of the yarn is really important. Personally the granny stitch is my favorite, but I’m also partial to that one because that’s how I learned to crochet. 🧶
The rainbow on the one side of the fourth swatch was really pretty 😍 I crochet and knit, and this makes me wanna see how this would work up in a knitted swatch. I bet a blanket would be real pretty 💖
Ya know Glenda the swatches you did was so exciting … I would use the c2c I bet it’d be like the granny with the colors ….Do u ever do that stitch? I recently had to do that stitch and it is limiting but not as bad as I thought originally…. Also the mile-a-minute seems like it would be great with the colors too! the last sample may look ok if you did the moss stich in the round like the granny stitch. Love the colour of the yarn its pretty.
