Thanks and thank you for watching
It's unbelievably like walking 50 years ago in downtown Cebu City, with the same buildings and store signs, especially in Manalili and Magallanes streets. It brings back a lot of memories. Thank you.
It was my pleasure. Thanks for watching.
If you would like to see any other streets or locations from your past, please let me know. I'd be more than happy to show you.

@emyshaw9948 Of course, I'd love to. It might take a couple of weeks or so, but I'll do my best to get out that way. I love exploring the PH and things like this give me a purpose to do it more. Thanks for watching.
Yeah they've done nothing for their ppl in all that time 👎
Love the lively streets and energy. Hope to visit Cebu later this year. Thanks for taking us there. New sub to your channel, look forward to watching more! 😍🥰
Thank you very much for the comment, sub, and for watching.

Done tamsak from maria
Wow nice ,saan ito na lugar?
It is the heart of Cebu City, Philippines. Colon St is said to be the oldest national road in the country. Thanks for watching.
I'm exhausted 😩 from this walk tour as I sit and watch this video... Can't we stop and take a brief rest and talk to the locals?
My fiancee and I were just in Cebu in May, 2023. We stayed at a hotel right across the street from Ayala Mall. I am wondering how far away from downtown Cebu were we because I don't remember us driving near this area and we went to a few places by taxi. Or maybe I have a bad memory
The downtown area is about 3km SW of Ayala, just north of Megallan's Cross and the CCLEX Bridge. Thanks for watching.
Maka mingaw ang cebu😢😢
I just watched a video on Thailand
Food gym condos supermarkets
prices quality clean quiet orderly
Women healthier looking
Etc
No comparison
There's a reason Thailand gets 5 times as many tourists!
Luma na mga buildings at yung place parang 1960. Makikita din na sinasakop na ng mga tindera ang sidewalk.
I noticed that a lot of the signs were vintage, too. I really enjoyed this walk. Thanks for watching.
Hello thank you for your video I'm a Filipino but never been in Cebu
You are very welcome and thank you for watching.
buti nman.luminis.na ang cebu
I noticed that, too. The city and the community must be putting in extra effort. That's great! Thanks for watching.
Your camera is very good
Thank you. It's just a GoPro 10. I've been working on getting the settings dialled in. Let me know if you want the ones that I use and I'll give them to you Thanks for watching.
Colon😍
I really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
@@AmericanForeigner you're welcome😊
Walked this a few times, in a few years will be walking it again,,Retired!
Congrats. I hope it goes by fast for you. Thanks for watching.
I was there in august 2022! im back in august 2023!
I really like Cebu as well. I'll be back again and again, too. Thanks for watching.
Downtown cebu is safer now than before.
I am really happy that it is safer. I have never felt unsafe here. Of course I say that knowing I have used common sense and trusted my instincts though. Thanks for watching.
Can you walk around at night on your own or is that a bad idea? Does Cebu have Uber or Bolt?
@michaelb2388 Grab (owned by Uber?) is widely used here for food and for rides. Safety mostly depends on you IMO. If you make yourself a soft target you might find yourself in trouble. If you pay attention to your surroundings, trust your instincts, and know how to handle yourself in dicey situations then you'll probably be fine. The short answer is that it's mostly safe.
Hey Joe
Thanks for watching.
Obesity is not a problem out there, some heavy people but not obese, there are no bums in tents and no drug attics running around in filthy clothes, these people are not as entitled as Americans and face poverty but their struggles keep them humble, they have a strong belief in Jesus and keep traditional church values, the government does not tolerate drug dealers. I can’t wait to visit this amazing place and to add there are surrounded by beautiful tropical beaches wow closes thing to paradise on this planet and may I add beautiful traditional women that want to marry foreigners.
I can tell by your words that you will enjoy the Philippines very much. It takes awhile to get used to things here but really it's more getting used to not having the things readily available like in your homeland. I'm really hoping that the recent expansion of the U.S. footprint here is going to bring a lot of economic opportunities and assistance with it. I can't think of anyone or anyplace that is more deserving of assistance than Filipinos or the Philippines. It is a very special place.
1998-2003 nag eskwela kos cebu polythechnic college. ,UV ..peero UC MAIN ko nag graduate…olala…asa ang eden theater ug NEW CINEMA Ug HARVEST CINEMA😂😂😂😂
Thanks for watching
It looks the same as 35 years ago. Rusty roofs. No improvement at all. I don't miss a thing.
The Philippines definitely isn't for everyone. I honestly feel blessed to be here. Thanks for watching.
Stay wherever u are u don’t belong here
there are only few improvements in the downtown area, But if you go uptown or the suburbs you can see the vast improvement, ex. Cebu buss.park, IT park, south Road properties, to name a few.
u fotgot to edit name of the streets, i'am planning to go Cebu city ,Talisay
You will find a lot to do in and around Cebu City. The public trans is really good, too. Thanks for watching.
Colon is oldest St in phil
I love learning about history! Thanks for watching.
35:16 no way, theyre still using horse carriages or karatilya i rode them back in the 80's, you gotta ride one of them especially youre a foreigner
Absolutely. I am looking forward to it. I'll be recording and it will be fun to see how far they will take me.
ישתבח שמו לעד איזה עולם קסום
I didn't see one Foreigner! I wonder why? Maybe this place is bad for Foreigners?
If I remember correctly, this was on a Thursday at midday. That might have had something to do with it. I've never been there on a weekend so I'm not sure though. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, that video really put me off Cebu. Awful 🤢
Thanks for watching.
