so what your actually seeing here is a cat that’s under anesthesia, wich means they are sleeping. the cats eyes stay open, so that means if they are open too long the cat will go blind. so they have a special thing wich helps the cats eyes not to dry out. and it does not hurt or harm the cat at all.

Don’t worry. The cat’s not dead, just under a strong anesthesia, but he didn’t close his eyes. The medicine getting put in the cat’s eyes is just a special paste that keeps his eyes moisturized while they’re open so he doesn’t go blind. Glad you did that, because the cat’s eyes look absolutely perfect, and he should keep it that way!

I just saw my cat in anesthesia for the first time about 2 weeks ago.. it looked so scary. Her body was completely relaxed, head falling down. No life in the eyes.. I am no softie but my bf had to help the vet instead of me cause it felt so bad to see her like that. Vet was joking about me being more terrified than the cat. She needed an x-ray to check if her tail bones were not broken. Door slammed her tail due to wind. Luckily nothing was and the cut she had healed nicely. But now I know how she will look when dead and it's a horrible image 😔
