6+ months later and I am still using the Evolve2 65 - it is amazing! Before anything, I would like to say Thank You to Call One inc! Their reviews/video clips made my choice rather easy as they've touched on all features and was done very well (all of that under 5 mins clip!) Amazing job - thanks again guys!

I've been searching for a good wireless headset to use when working from home and while doing my research I always end up at one of you videos. So, since I'm living on the other side of the planet and will never buy or use you services I thought the least I could do is say thank you for your excellent videos. They really helped me out alot! My Evolve2 65 headset came in today. I can attest to some aspects of the headphones as a user, at least on day 1.
First, I've been wearing it for about 6 hours straight now and am just beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable in the ears, but it's nothing serious, just something I'm noticing. I called my wife from a room with the radio blaring and she couldn't hear it.
I got her a set too and we tested them by calling family while sitting within hand-holding distance. When one of us was muted but still talking they couldn't hear that person through the other microphone, even though we continued talking at normal levels. It was a test along the lines of the ones Danny has done with Mariah, trying to see if the microphone picked up Mariah's voice. It looks like it's going to be a win for our use case, two people in the same office space on separate conference calls at the same time with no cross-talk.
[UPDATE (7/7/20): She and I are facing the same direction most of the time, but if I need to do something where I am essentially facing her she can be heard faintly, about like the videos of Danny and Mariah. I'm told by colleagues that they can hear her in the background but it's not distracting. So, both facing the same direction ~4ft apart the other person cannot be heard at conversational levels, one facing the other some of the other bleeds through. At our other location we face each other at our desk and I will update once I see how it works there.]
We were having issues such that one of us had to relocate during calls because our phones/computers/earbuds/headsets easily picked up the other person's voice. One co-worker told me he could hear my wife as if she were on the call with me. Her Apple Airpods Pro didn't help, nor did my PLT 3200, 5200, or 7200, and no help from the laptops either, all Thinkpads, a T430, T480, T580, and X1 Yoga Gen 4.
I can't speak as an audiophile, but can say that music sounds better than I expected, audiobooks sound good, live voices are clear. The microphone sounds clear to those on the other end.
While it didn't make a difference in my case, I would second Danny's admonition to make sure the software is up-to-date. I'm in IT consulting so I know how important it can be. Also, if you are having issues connecting to Teams the way you normally do without a Microsoft certified headset, give the dedicated Teams button a try. I was fiddling a bit on my first call then remembered the button. When I pressed it everything worked fine.
Thanks for the great videos, Danny!

I bought the Evolve2 65 a month ago, mainly thanks to your videos. The sound quality is great, and mic voice clarity as well,
but as for background noise cancelling in the mic it self(which is one of the main reasons I bought it - Working from home and kids running outside my room)
the Evolve2 is not doing their job :( My colleagues told me they can hear the background noises even when I tap quietly on my table.
I updated all firmware, even got a replacement headset, but when recording a test at a room with 50dB -60dB noise, you can hear it loud and clear on the recording.
I don't think I'm doing something wrong since everything is up to date, but for me those headset are not meeting the requirements and the price tag.
    hope it helps.

@@vadimtres Unfortunately I wasn't able to solve this issue. Jabra replaced the headset (great customer service btw) but I still had the same issue. After a while some more problems occurred, like people started saying I sound like I'm in a pool :/ so I had to disconnect and connect again the dongle or connect via BT :( .A year ago, my workplace gave me the option to buy the Platronics Voyager Focus UC on their expense, so now I use the Plantronics - Compared to the Jabra, the Jabra were better on almost all aspects (range, comfort, sound quality, charging time) but the Plantronics have much more superior background noise cancellation and mic.

I love my Jabra Evolve 75 (actually bought it after Danny reviewed them). I particularly like how lightly it "presses" my head (important for my big head and long call sessions). Also, I love that I can use 75 as a USB device with my laptop and this way, I don't have to deal with Bluetooth connectivity or battery issues.

I've purchased the Evolve2 65 and I was amazed from the battery life, sounds quality (including music, games and most importantly - phone calls). I am having some issues with mine but I must say, Jabra are fantastic and it was hassle free to get replacement pair. By Bose 700, I meant the Bose 700 UC business version coming out soon which has a USB dongle and is Skype/Teams certified. I'm after a business solution for my Sales Team of 15. I work at a Fortune100 Tech company and our floor basically has around 40 Account Executives on the floor all day on the phones, so two things are paramount to us:
      1) Noise cancelling Microphones so only the Rep's voice can be heard and little to none of the background noise/chatter can be heard by the client
      2) The second important priority would be noise cancelling itself, but this isn't as important as the first.
We use Microsoft Teams as our VoiP solution and have developed our own integrations and plug-ins to integrate into our CRM. Given those needs, i'm tossing up between Bose 700 Professional which according to some reviews has fantastic noise cancelling Microphones and the new Evolve2 85 coming out which seems like it will have great noise cancelling to with it's 10 mics

So in Webex/Teams/Zoom, I have output from QC35 while also wearing the Evolve 30 around my neck with the boom mic sticking up for input. Is the Evolve 75 a significant upgrade over the 30 in mic quality? Asking as I saw your 75 mic test video and the NC of nearby speeches seems highly promising, though I'd need to sufficiently justify a $200 purchase. Hi there! I saw in the specs of the headset that it supports dual connectivity? Will you be able to show me how that works? My current situation is I am like in a zoom meeting using my PC and want to answer the call that is coming from my phone or tablet I want to know how does it work?

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Bagnos! Thanks for watching and love the question! I need to start adding that into our video reviews and demos. Yes, you can be paired to your computer and mobile device. However, you can only be in one single active call at a time. Meaning you can't be in a PC (Zoom call) and a Mobile (phone call) simultaneously. It's probably best to show you. This is a frequently asked question across all multi-connectivity headsets so I will do my best to put together a demo video to show what happens if I am in a Zoom call and get a mobile call and vice versa, I am in a Mobile call and get a Zoom call.

I have this jabra evolve 2 65 and overall good product, however one thing important to note is that if you lose USB-A or USB-C based bluetooth dongle which comes with this headset, you will have to pay 110 USD to purchase a replacement one (Jabra link 380 is the part). And this is rip off. And if you rely on direct bluetooth connection without dongle, good luck with getting your headset connect to your machine reliably. I have decided to stay away from Jabra products due to this

@@CallOneInc I have a question regarding the audio quality,. I have it connected only to the laptop. When i listen to music, audio quality is good as long as i don't get a call or initiate a call. As soon as a call comes in, or i try to call someone, or even open a program that accesses my microphone, then it's like it switches to another mode/channel or something and the audio quality of the music gets really bad, sound is flat and it feels like mono. I use it with the provided dongle as my Lenovo T490 laptop can't seem to use the microphone of the headset when connected via Bluetooth directly.
Do you have the bad sound quality too when there is an incoming call? From the perspective of Software, everything is up to date

Which one is better? Jabra Evolve 75 or Jabra Evolve2 65? I bought Jabra Evolve 75 6 months ago and I can say that the noise cancellation feature is superb. But after using it every day, the whole left ear cup suddenly broke apart from the headband a few days ago. I used it every day with extra care because it's expensive but now it's broken. For a headset that costs more than $300+, I expected that it would last longer compared to my Jabra Evolve 40 but sadly it didn't.

I received Jabra Evolve2 65 from Amazon this week and I've noticed that since the very beginning round plug on the left headset (the one without any buttons and mic) is loose and makes noises while moving my head.
Do you have the same behavior? If you're not able to check, do you recall having the plug loose in the headset you were reviewing?

what is the difference between usb A and usb C option?

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Drake A, Jabra provides USB-A and USB-C type connectivity to support the USB port types your computer has. If your computer has USB-A ports, the Evolve2 65 with USB-A dongle would be a better fit. If you have a computer with USB-C ports, then the Evolve2 65 variant with USB-C dongle would be better.

Hi Call one, let’s say after 3 to 4 years of using the jabra evolve 2 65, the built in batteries went dead, can I still use the headset via wired USB connection? Please answer it. Thank you so much

Hi Charles, I submitted your question to Jabra. These are fairly new. I don't know if they have real-world experience with these headsets with that length of time but it doesn't hurt to ask. But, yes, you can use as corded USB audio device if the battery dies completely however, not certain if you can after 3 to 4 years. I'll let you know how Jabra responds.

      Hi Charles, Here's Jabra's Response:
      Hi Danny,
Sorry for delay. Expectation is the headset will work when wired USB when headset battery is dead, although I don't readily have data stating that specific use case.
Hope this helps! Thanks for submitting your question!

Does it make a sound when you mute yourself? So you know for sure you are on mute?

    • @CallOneInc

When move boom mic up or press mute button, you do get an audible notification "Muted" and when you move boom mic back down or press mute button again you hear "Unmuted".
