No way did a gun get in the park. They have extreme measures to prevent this from happening. Once, we were at Disney Springs. My hubs carries, but didn’t have his gun at DS. An officer and a canine officer started following us, walked past us, then turned around and headed back in our direction. The officer stopped my husband and asked if he was carrying because the canine had smelled a gun. Once my hubs proved he wasn’t carrying, the officer told us that the dog flagged us immediately and that’s why they started following us…I didn’t know this was possible, but it let me know that in spite of Disneys many problems, they are very much into keeping guns out of the park.
Yeah if he handled his gun recently the dog can smell that. To avoid that in the future he can just make sure he washes his hands really well and isn’t wearing the same clothes he was wearing when he last handled it.
The odds of a gun being in magic kingdom is extremely small. They check everything and you go through a metal detector on top of random checks. Ppl be thinking everything is a gun sound. Smh
This title is misleading. Using the term “gun scare” implies there was a gun. There was no gun. Wording is important. This is a click bait title. You can do better!
What they aren't telling you is that those of us were there know it was far more likely a gun shot than a balloon. Some of us have heard them before. Though since security is so good, and sheriffs were on the scene before people were running. So I would guess the shots came from an officer and not a visitor.
I was there and I know the difference. It was not a balloon. While the shots sounded like they were a good quarter mile from where I was and most people familiar with the sound would think "it's too far away to worry about," I ran with my kids because I knew a stampede was a bigger threat than the shots at a distance.
@@xxkarlosxxxxxx7233 Actually, there is no echo on Main Street. That was initially weird when I heard it but I quickly realized that the soundproofing prevented that echo. Also, people heard the shots on Main Street, in the Emporium AND inside the back of Casey's.
Last time we went we had a soft bag cooler I took it out from under the stroller set it on the ground a little too hard and a can popped it was a super muffled pop sound 😅 but security magically appeared out of thin air watching me 💀 everyone around got quite for a minute 😂😂 never seen so many people scared for absolutely nothing in my life
No need to criticize people for being cautious for themselves and their children. You are entitled to your opinion to your opinion but don't rub it off on everyone else that ain't right🤨
Americans automatically have a flight mechanism now because of all the gun violence and mass shootings happening in places like schools, mall, movie theatres and concerts and they don't even realise it as it is so ingrained in them. I'll be honest, I'm off to WDW next month and I've become very aware of my surroundings at all times until I get into the parks. I've even stopped going to the mall and outlets and was nervous even going to Disney Springs until they ramped up security. The parks themselves are safe once you inside, well apart from guests getting drunk and getting into fights. A fight was happening when this scare happened. I've been visiting WDW since 1989 from the UK and the guest behaviour has deteriorated rapidly in the last decade with aggression, entitlement, inapproriate clothing from obscene T-shirts to women wearing next to nothing. Social media has so much to do with this, but Disney CMs are also scared to tackle these badly behaved 'guests' and who can blame them, they are not there as bouncers.

It was more likely the sheriffs shooting than a patron.
Turning into an overpriced six flags with all the issues those parks have had with guests
They shouldn’t serve alcohol in the parks
They don’t at magic kingdom except at one sit down restaurant
Six flags is turning into a overpriced Disney

i was there, people thought somone brought a gun
All it took was probably one anxiety riddled woman. Any mass panic is started by just ONE person lol
those who can not tell a balloon pop from a gun shot. definitely not any southerns .
Actually if u pop a big balloon in a place where an eco is located it can sound like a gun shot cause of the eco it makes 😂

No way a girl went to Disney World. They’re security there. Metal detectors everywhere.
That is scary.
I would be LIVID having to leave Disney World because of a balloon that POPPED, which caused a panic!!! 😤
Freaking out after a balloon pops? You people need to calm down.

@@8td8trIf it’s not an actual gunshot, then people absolutely shouldn’t be causing any unnecessary panic in the public space…
@@Graphics_Card Any loud is gonna worry people.🤨
@@8td8tr I too get scared whenever I go to see Disney fireworks at night…
With the extensive security checks, how would someone get a weapon in there?
WDWNT should be ashamed for this story! 😡
Having a total psychotic freak out over a balloon popping sounds just about right for Disney fans
Probably some woman…
looters at magic kindom... not surprised........parks are terrible now with thugs galore
They have parade
This is awful
Oh my gosh 😂😂😂😂
